NIce hold on Jorgensen in that picture.

Just one of many that wasn't called by the Pac-10 refs.

It was justice served that they finally called a lame penalty and screwed up the ending of a good game.

Even I admit that was a cheap win for us. We're going to have trouble against the Utes this year if we keep playing like this :(

Very low kick + the old on Jorgensen...Wash didn't deserve to tie it.

The call on Locker was a good one, he flipped the ball high in the air. High enough to jump into a player's arms and pump his fist.

And no complaints at all about the call on BYU after the block. Or the bad call on the offside on the ensuing kickoff.

Is that an infraction I see? Like holding?

Can't be the refs did not throw a flag. Just a flag on BYU after the blocked kick.

I was at the game. No question it should have been called, even if the rule does stink. The ball was at least 25 feet in the air, not just thrown over the shoulder like so many of the biased sports commentators would have you believe. The cougs owned the game and should never have allowed that flag to be an issue. If Unga hadn't fumbled on the previous drive it would have been a mute point.

The rule stinks, but it was in no way a cheap win. They still had to block the kick to win.

I actually like the rule. It's one of the things I love about college ball vs. the NFL. The NFL dorks look like a bunch of morons with their end zone antics, and is one of the many reasons I don't watch the NFL.

Having said that, regardless of the rule, the kick was still blocked. Even with a hold. Seems to me that the sports commentators were just cry babies, because regardless of the call on the previous play -- the PAT kick was blocked, and Washington would have still lost the game.

BYU's No. 84 Jan Jorgensen blocks the extra point attempt of Washington's No. 13 Ryan Perkins and seals the Cougars' 28-27 win over Washington in Seattle Sept. 6.
