Perfect thing for all those indoor bikers in Utah...what, are we gunning for a Summer Olympics now too?
From what I've seen, there is probably significant demand for a velodrome. Madison Square Garden was originally a velodrome, and the sport is having a renaissance. Just look at the number of track bike / single speeds on the streets. Another example of how Ogden is catching up and even surpassing other small cities in terms of recreational opportunities.
To your ignorance Track Cycling is a Winter sport EVERYWHERE but in the USA.
Utah should eventually bid to host the summer Olympics, too.

There are over 300,000 people in Weber County. This $13 million dollar facility may occupy as many as 60 people at one time. 20 at the tennis courts, 20 on the cycling track and 20 on the skating rink.
That means that only .0002% of the Counties population could use it at any one time. At least include a walking/jopgging track for us retired folks and something for the preschoolers. REALISTIC
I can't wait! What a great addition to our great city!
I hope it will be as fast as the one in South Wales, and the track is made of wood, then I shall be able to enjoy my holidays even more !
