Michael

How in any way I am supposed to explain to my sons at family home evening that they can't go ski racing on Sundays and become profession ski racers, when you guys are so busy promoting such a blatant and obvious example of NOT keeping the Sabbath Day holy, as if it was something special for Mormons to do!

You have now sabotaged my efforts to raise my children righteously, by glorifying no less than 27 other absolutely worldly and profession and horrible examples of NFL players on Sundays! As if it wasn't bad enough that the Mormon NFL quarterback swore he was going to stop working on Sunday at the end of his career, and then set another and continuously lousy example by going back to work on Sunday for ESPN the next year.

Eli Herring

To Michael: Find the Wall Street Journal article of a few years ago about BYU lineman Eli Herring who was drafted by the NFL, even though he told them that he wouldn't play on Sundays. Or try the more recent story on Mormon Times about the New Zealand LDS players in the Olympics who refused to play on the Sabbath Day. Your sons will learn about the concept of free agency and that some athletes choose to use their agency in one way, while others choose to exercise it differently. And the amazing thing is that they all have the same scriptures! It might be good for your sons to learn that they are not forced by the Church or anyone else to live the commandments....

Garrett Mills - Vikings TE

LDS TE from the Tulsa University plays for the Vikings and caught a couple of passes tonight.

He is originally from Jenks, Oklahoma.
