Just a little news for Crimmins........if Crimmins comes to a Texans home without a court order he will be made aware of the new "Castle Law".

CPS still doesn't get it. Even with the recent 5th circuit ruleing they just don't get it.

Here's the deal. Those bozos can't count, can't see, can't hear, and have difficulty reading.

Start an investigation on the mental competency of those government leaches.

Why does anyone think they have any credibility. You're absolutely right, z... they can't see beyond their own prejudice and agenda to persecute these people.

I have read this phrase so often I am sure it is cut and pasted from every other FLDS story:
"Once on site, authorities claim to have seen other signs of abuse prompting a judge to order the removal of all the children."

I wonder if there's a journalist around who is interested in getting authorities to explain in a straight forward manner WHAT those 'other signs of abuse' they *witnessed* were.

My biggest amazement is that some sheeple actually approve of CPS's actions. Proof positive that our constitution has become worthless.

While I understand the confusion in dealing with large numbers and changing names, it seems to me that an accurate count should have been taken when children boarded the buses out of the FLDS ranch. As children were relocated to children's homes, the count should have been once again verified. There seems to be no legitimate reason not to know how many children are in CPS custody.

Then again, no one seems to know how many wives or children Warren Jeffs has either.

Its not uncommon for child protective services to miss count. It comes from over worked and under paid case workers. Its not something special to Texas CPS and the same thing is done all of the country on a daily basis. I dont see why this is fit to be news when there are unaccounted children in other states systems.

How long is Texas going to put up with this CPS group and its blatant actions making a mockery of justice and incompetence? The group has acted out of line for many months from a falsified report that started it all. Now they are making up laws and rules as they go to satisfy their own incompetence and personal feelings of prejudice. Any good judge should have thrown this case out of court as soon as it was known that initial phone calls were fraudlent and staged. Now the CPS is acting out in vengeful and hatred of a religion actions. Who ever is running this group should be jailed right along with those they are accusing of abuse without justification. The CPS is using law enforcement as enforcers of their personal vengence and an injustice to the legal system. They are acting like vigilantes on a quest to destroy without proof or legal cause. They are creating evidence by criminal interogation and threats to children as they go and changing their minds at every turn of the case with no real and useable evicence. The CPS has made a mockery of child protective services and themselves.

They miscounted over 12 times. They had two children that the FLDS parents claimed were "lost" in the beginning. Who in their right mind could think that state care was safe after this whole fiasco?

We know, because they said: those "signs of abuse" were the "underage pregnant girls" who turned out to be legal adults.

I am new to this and I have read all the cmments and I am shocked at the hatred and acrid humor. Just sounds very much like an angry mob to me. Must be an FLDS website. Noone else would be foolish enough to say such socially irresponsible things.

Hate to break it to you, but lots of us - myself included - are not FLDS. We just are disgusted with a lot of CPS's behavior.

What "socially irresponsible" things did you have in mind, by the way?

in counting Warren Jeff's wives and children is that they are not physically present in one spot to be counted. The FLDS chldren were. I am still troubled by the fact that CPS couldn't judge the age of the pregnant women more accurately--especially since one of them was 37 years old! Or that they wouldn't accept birth certificates and driver's licenses.
And I am totally distressed that CPS could come in as a result of bogus calls and maintained that the calls were valid long after they had to have known they weren't. Not to mention the blanket warrant, which shouldn't have stood up in court.
And not, I'm not FLDS either. Nor do I live in Utah. But I do believe that if we justify the government's breaking the laws, even in what we might consider a good cause, that we will soon have a lawless government--one which its citizens can no longer trust to treat its citizens fairly and legally.

one problem::: they couldn't judge the ages because they didn't care. all they were looking at is abuse. the call was not a valid call so cps was wrong in doing what they did. not all flds live in utah either.

I am not surprised that CPS cannot count kids, they are addicted to the money they get from selling them. Virginia got $1.5 billion last year. Google "The Corrupt Business of Child Protective Services", "Nancy Schaefer", "youtube 'mass cps corruption' kentucky", "kidjacked", "fightcps" or simply "CPS corruption"
It's not just in Texas anymore!

To those critical of Texas CPS and other states' equivalents: Get involved. Volunteer at YOUR local CPS. Staff the visiting room. File folders. Deliver Christmas presents. Get involved with YOUR state legislature. Advocate for changes to YOUR laws and policies. Get involved on YOUR local child welfare board. Abraham Lincoln (that great Republican)said, "He has the right to criticize who has the heart to help".

I am tired of the Deseret News calling the FLDS a "Utah based group". The FLDS base is in Colorado City, ARIZONA. So it is an Arizona based group.

Those sneaky FLDS are such a baseless bunch that they have bases everywhere. ShortCreek is in Utah and Arizona.....a sneaky move to conceal two towns. Their base in Hildale Utah can be switched to their base in Colorado City Arizona at a moments notice. Everyone will think that Colorado City is in Colorado.........sneaky devils.
The temple is called YFZ and is central to their base in Texas. Darn if the place isn't near ElDorado...a spanish name......just to throw off those looking for the base.
With bases in Colorado, not Colorado City....British Columbia, a foreign country....Mexico.....not ElDorado......the flds can threaten millions from their bases.
Watch out.....that base in Utah is just a cover.
