To Col W. Jennings:

You're DEAD WRONG. Much of the "rest of the world" embraces the same loving deity that much of Utah and the United States looks upon for grace, love, and wisdom. Not everyone shares the valueless ideology of the brass.

"Democrat elitists think religion is a JOKE and religious people (particularly Mormons) are STUPID."

No, a joke, unlike religion is funny. Jokes have never killed people.
Sorry Mitt | 8:44 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
You are not even in the same league with Thompson and Guiliani. And now there there is Palin. Leave us Republicans alone. We heard enough in the primaries.

Thought it was lame | 9:26 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
I like Mitt but thought his speech was lame. I know the conventions are nothing more than high school pep rallies but can we at least get a little substance from the speakers? Mitt didn't say one thing that was factual, instead it was a whole bunch of hyperbole lambasting the libs for libs, kind of like attacking a dog because it's a dog. WHY should I vote for McCain!! That's what I want to hear, and I haven't heard it yet (and "because they're liberals" is not an answer).

Indiana you just gave the straight talk.

The Protestant presidency will be maintained through the efforts of the Huckabigots from Dixieland to Iowa. Thanks GOP guys! This Mormon ain't gonna be a fool this time around. I'm voting for Obama, just for spite. The Reps are going to lose anyway. Then we will have another Jimmy Carteresque 4 years. After that, our country will have had its fill of the Dems.
Romney in 2012!

I added a comment yesterday and it does not show. I suppose if a comment shows too much observation it gets nixed.

The Republican party have hijacked all of Christianity for too long. Now this joker tries to hijack Mormonism while kissing the butts of those who condemn us to hell. Good riddance Mitt.

Mitt is now only good for the "catcher"

Republicans can't expect to win. They want you to sustaint a continuation of an unpopular war.
Mormons and war dont mix. Saints and Sinners dont mix well in the same mixer.
Bodies still come home in boxes, while politicians get pay raises and higher seats in "the House".

Get out of Washington and come into the hearts of the people. Hypocrisy has prevailed long enough in Utah's Political Parties. Give the people back their freedom.Bennett, Hatch, Huntsman,Garn and the other so called saints wear the disguise of sheeps clothing, yet inside they are ravenous wolves for money, power, position, pride and of course war.

Are you kidding me?? I can not believe the comments that I've read. That any of you would even consider voting for Obama who dismisses the Bible as some sort of "trash" novel, is pro-abortion, pro-tax, pro-socialist society is totally ludicrous!! You can say whatever you want about McCain or Palin or the GOP. I will take my chances voting for a man that served his country, could have come home but didn't, loves America and proved without a doubt that he was willing to die for it!!! Is he perfect? Absolutely not! Is he the only choice, given what the alternative is? Absolutely! Any good solid American, pro-life, God loving, Bible believing, anti-terrorist should be able to see the writing on the wall. As for the comment on Harry Reid, give me a break. He is a sell-out. He votes what his party and the liberals want him to, not what the Church teaches or what the majority of people want! I know, I've written him many times and know exactly where he stands. Wake up PEOPLE!!! Pray before you vote.
And please, learn to spell before you post your comments!
Have a Nice Day and GOD Bless America!!!!

I caught part of St Mitt's speech where he was attacking the eastern establishment.

Mitt was a governor of state back east and is a major player in a venture captial firm. I'd say that makes him part of the eastern establishment.

Mitt flip flopping like Bill C? I'm shocked.

Go Mitt! You're the man. I'm done with the Repubs for now, and the Dems . . . what an amazing time in our country, when we choose such losers to be our winners. What could it all be leading to?
Abe Leencon | 12:15 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
Throw out the liberals? You mean Bush, Cheney, etc.? Ok, I can do that.

I think Mitt needs to get out of politics and become the game show host he was meant to be.
