Wow, what has the national republican party done for Utah? Utah is the most
loyal red State in the nation and what do we get? Zippo! If Mit ran on the
Dem.
ticket he would have had the chance to pull it off because the Dems are not bigots like the Republicans. And Mit would not have had to flip flop on every idea he ever had as a Dem. Yep folks, keep sending your dollars to the Republicans.

It would have been better to listen to him, even though I don't agree with
some of the things he says, than the failed "president" whose failed

Huntsman would have been more suited for the Democratic Convention, than the
Republicans. Either that or the Self-Centered Egotists Who Believe Leadership is
Rightfully Theirs Convention.

No, why I pray, are we the "laughingstock" of the nation? I'm a
Native Utahn who has lived outside of Utah for several years, I don't ever
recall over-hearing a group of people laughing it up over Utah. They may have
difficulty placing where it is among "all those square states" but
they're not laughing over Utah. I encounter standard east/west coast
elitism from time to time, but no bawdy party jokes about Utah. So what exactly
are you talking about?

These "Republicans" outside of Utah probably have a mindset where the Utah Republicans are brainless boneheads who's easy to take advantaged of. We're alot more on the ball than what "they" think! The Dems. respect us alot more than the Republicans. Utah a loyal Replican State? Oh the irony!
I had the pleasure of meeting the Governor one on one and shaking his hand, and I thought he was a stand-up guy who genuinely cares on what goes on in Utah and outside of Utah. The people who planned Huntsman to speak yesterday, are probably are the same ones that cancelled him and are most likely getting a real kick out of it.
...Actually they may not, but it sure seems fishy that they would do it near the last minute of the convention.
It's all my opinion folks.

Why wast time with Utah, our vote is locked in anyway. They showed they can kick
us in the teeth and we will still come back thanking them and voting red all the

Can you believe of the pro-life candidates for VP, McCain and the rest of the
Christian right GOP chose a backwoods hick politician over the urbane, financier
and leader Romney? Now, Romney is not my cup of tea, but he is a leader;
witness his rescue of our corrupt Olympics. The Utah Republican delegation
doesn't know when it has been slapped in the face. Maybe Utah LDS ought to

This is really pathetic. Recall that Huntsman was one of McCain's earliest
and strongest supporters. But why should the Republican party treat Utahns any
differently? They know they have this state sewn up. Not until some political
balance is restored to the great state of Utah will either party treat us with
respect.
The citizens of Utah are getting just what they deserve. If Utah Republicans want a little respect, vote for Obama and put a little fear into the hearts of the party's leadership. Once they realize that Utah is up for grabs, they'll start to treat us a little better.

I find it interesting that there is no mention of Huntsman's ridiculous
comment about Sarah Palin:

Yes, Utahns (jspecifically Mormons) are considered a 'peculiar people'
and I just wish they would, once again live up to that noble and complementary
moniker. I wish they would once again become peculiar by behaving in accordance
to the LDS teachings about loving each other, treating others with kindness and
foregoing material wealth over spiritual wealth. If they could once again
become a peculiar people perhaps they would wake up and realize that the battle
between 'good and evil' isn't identified through political
parties - that one isn't particularly good and the other particularly evil.
I wish these peculiar people would use discernment to identify when actions are
markedly different or even opposite from the words being spouted by so-called
social leaders. There is a great disconnect now.

John Hunstman has proven that he is not a leader. He has let the Legislative
Leadership push him around over issues like Vouchers, District Splits, and
ethics reform. Huntsman has a great dad but he does not measure up to his old
man. The National GOP hates Mormons and thinks Utahans are idiots. These are
the reasons that Huntsman was not allowed to speak. He has supported Mcain all
along and Mcain still threw him to the dogs. The biggest reason that Huntsman
supported Mcain was because he hates Romney's guts because Romney was
chosen to lead the Olympics over pretty boy John. We Utahans get exactly what
we deserve. We have given the bigoted anti-Mormon GOP our total blind support
and they have thrown us to the dogs. Please vote for independent candidates or
Democrats this fall. Let's send a message to the local and national GOP
that we have had enough!!!
