Comments about ‘Utes should knock off Michigan’

If App. State hadn't done it last year, they might have a chance. Sorry, one year too late.

They have more than a chance. If they focus and keep it close, they can easily win this.

I always find it funny when people use the year before to predict the future. "They won't allow it to happen again." Sound familiar? It comes down to who the better team is, not about whether they will allow it. If Utah plays better they will win. It's like when people say Wyoming is going to get back at Utah this year for last year. In order for that to happen Wyoming would have to be a better team than Utah and everyone with any inteligence knows that is just not the case. Utah can win this.

It will be an embarrassment if Utah doesn't win over such a weak Michigan team. The Wolverines are happy they are not playing Northern Iowa.

Good luck this is a good game for everyone in the MWC if you win.

I hope you knock 'em dead!

(Until you guys play BYU), what's good for the UofU is good for Utah and the MWC.

I hope REAL "BYU fans" realize the importance of this game for them if they want to go to the BCS. They need Utah to win, and they should be cheering for them. Having Utah on the stage in November nationally ranked, at least at 9-2 but ideally 11-0, and the Cougs being 11-0 themselves is the BEST possible scenario from a BS--uh, that's BCS-- perspective.

Hopefully Washington and UCLA will have otherwise decent seasons, though they're unlikely to end the year nationally ranked. But are the Cougs playing anyone else likely to make much national noise? NO, THEY'RE NOT. They need Utah to win in order to be respectable.

Besides, even if there weren't BCS dreams at stake, what glory and honor is it to beat--or possibly LOSE TO--an unranked 6-5 or worse Utah team? You want to beat the BEST opponents you can, right?

Every REAL "BYU fan" should be pulling for the Utes today. Those who can't do that need to, most simply put, get a life.

Go Utes! Michigan is definitely beatable in the Big House. Brian Johnson is a frigging stud. Represent the MWC well which your teams do consistently. Oh and beat BYU please!

I can understand if there are BYU fans who hate Utah so much they would rather dreaded Michigan (the Yankees of College Football) pull out the win. OR they hate Utah so bad they would rather BYU be playing an 0-11 Ute squad on Nov. 22nd, with the national media saying BYU still hasn't played anybody.

Yeah, I can understand there is THAT much hatred. But for those of you with common sense, realizing BYU has a chance to be a BCS buster, a Utah team that wins is GOOD for BYU. Only if BYU was a mediocre 5-7 or even 7-5, would cheering agaist Utah make sense.

So be ye wise cougar fan.

The BYU-Utah rivalry is one of the best in the nation. A Utah man am I sir, a Utah man am I, a Utah man am I sir... Until they play the "Y". Go Utes... for now...

I am a die-hard BYU fan, but really hope the only loss Utah has is to the Cougars. Fantastic win today Utes! I thought you should have won by more, but a W is a W. Cougars, congrats on the win - but I think ball security is going to be an emphasized point come Monday. We need to step it up for Washington and UCLA the next 2 weeks! Good win though BYU.
