This is called by some economists a self reinforcing "death spiral".

It's not close to over.

It's going to get a lot worse.

CNBC will try to cheerlead this all the way down until the economy is a smoldering heap.

Tom Joad, you are right about CNBC. Think of how many books Lou Dobbs will be aboe to sell out of this, even though he wrote his "war on the middle class" book long before the current housing crisis.
