Comments about ‘How about those 2008 Olympics?’

I enjoyed these Olympics very much, however, I quickly got tired of all the gymnastics coverage (sorry, not a big enough fan to watch it EVERY day). Also, why did they think it was so interesting to see the Chinese divers bow after every dive? They even showed them bowing in slow motion.
How about fewer "judged" events to minimize the controversy?

My wife and I ran into Bruce Summerhays years ago at a resort in Hawaii. He happened to be playing in the tournament there in Kahuku at Turtle Bay. I introduced myself as a fellow graduate of Highland High and he recognized my name as local college basketball player.
He invited me and my wife to join him for dinner and we sat with Andy North and Gary Player. It was one of the greatests sports moments of my life.
Bruce Summerhays is the nicest professional athlete you could ever chear for.
