Just keep your fingers in your ears and keep the mantra going, people: Obama Osama Socialist SCARY BOO! Obama Osama Socialist SCARY BOO! Obama Osama...

I'm beginning to see why the GOP has made the underfunding of education a pillar of its platform: it creates easily dupe-able voters!

Seriously, people, there are plenty of policy issues we could discuss intelligently, but until right wing drones can get past the silly socialism hysteria, it seems pretty pointless.

Abortion, stem cell research, early term abortion, gay marriage, big govt, higher taxes, steal from the rich to give to the Democrats....do any of these issues apply to you so-called Mormons for Obama bin Biden?

We already had one Black President with Clinton, do we need another one who is proud to say that he was raised on food stamps? My mother would have worked 4 jobs before she would have taken a dime in welfare assistance. Sorry but that is nothing to be proud of? As for Biden he is rated as the third most liberal Senator behind Osama and the newby from Rhode Island.....its a year of voting for the lesser of two evils.....Neither of which is a close second to Reagan!

I want to take every Stop Abortion Advocate who has sold out their core Values for this man. I want to show them the Time Life Series on Conception to Birth of a human being, and shake them back to reality. I want to pray for them, and forgive them for their abandement of the Unborn. This male is Pro Choice. Pro Partial Birth Abortion and has many other Negatives, to include believing in the Myth of Global Warming, and the bigger Myth that if it is true, that you can do anything about it.

re: GOP hypocrisy | 1:38 p.m. Aug. 25, 2008
is it hypocrisy to admit mistakes. your attack on president bush was not a case of hypocrisy. He freely admitted that he had been a drunk. what attracted us, those who supported presendent bush, was his honesty and the opertunity to see inside him as he explained his fight with booz.

I make a lesser case for McCain. if anyone has been under a more watchful eye than McCain since the keding 5. this issue has been reviewed again and again and they have yet to find that mr. McCain had any knowing knowledge of what was happening. we know how he handled this he was up front and honest.

you are thowing big words around and do not know what the really mean.

you want to know the meaning of hypocrisy means look at your man obama. he killed a late term abortion bill in his committee. was the only member of the state legislture to speak against the bill. hid the vote by voting present. Lied about these facts and told the press that those who brought the charges were liying. is that hypocrisy? how about "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" that's hypocrisy?

"If you want less on your pay check, vote Obama.
If you like waiting for a long period of time to get medical treatment, vote Obama.
If you want higher gas prices, vote Obama.
If you want appeasement with those who want to kill us, vote Obama."

That is a completely emotional, immature and irresponsible way to vote. I don't think you stated a single fact -- just hysterical garbage. And that's exactly the sort of voting that got us the single most destructive presidency this country has ever had!

Obama is a leader, all right: he will lead the attack to remove the Defense of Family Act as the gay lobby lap dog.

Apparently, they are easily impressed.

How many years as a "community organizer" does he have?

You are correct in the fact that things should be paid for as we go, but the problem comes about when everyboby has a pet project to pay for by taxing the masses ... well the masses are split. Taxes are not balanced through the masses, the top 10% paid 70% of the taxes.
The Government needs to get out of the business of providing food, education, health care ... a living ... for those who want to live from the work of others.

Ok kiddies, back to work!
It's up to you. | 2:41 p.m. Aug. 25, 2008
Whether you are a republican or a democrat follow the issues and vote for the candidate that represents YOU rather than simply voting your party line. Don't listen to the propaganda and stereotypes that are being thrown from both directions. Do your research and vote responsibly. Stop perpetuating the lies and misrepresentations that have been shown to you by the political ads.

After reading that article I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy. Obama is swell.

You wrote at 9:29 a.m. on Aug. 25, 2008:
"When Mr. Obama was a state Senator from Illinois, he voted "Present" the majority of the time."

Your claim is untrue.

First of all, a small percentage of his votes were "present".

Secondly, a "present" vote in the Illinois Legislature is a procedural vote.

WE'RE NOT THAT STUPID, HATERS. The only people you're convincing, are yourselves and your hate radio compatriots.

The really sad thing is that neither candidate is qualified!
Or at least has the qualities that I can feel good about supporting. They both have such huge glaring faults as to make me shudder.
In the end we are going to see that no matter who is elected it will just be business as usual while the powers-that-be pull the strings behind the scenes.
Follow the money and you will see where the true power lies!
We have become a nation of puppets, for all our taking sides and thinking we are having a say.
