I think it's interesting that Eagle Mountain is worried about the increase in taxes in Saratoga Springs. If you combine the taxes and utilities you pay in Eagle Mountain, it's one of the highest taxed cities in the county.

How about service from Brigham City to Logan and the USU area? That would serve more people.

Mahonri, years ago people in Cache County voted on the question of whether to join their county to the UTA service area (via a quarter-cent sales tax increase) -- and shortsightedly voted it down.

I think that is neat that they are getting buses into the Eagle Mountain Area, Last Time I went to visit a friend about a year ago, who lives in Eagle Mountain, I had to meet her in AF then we had to drive to her house that was a mile away, so I am glad that I can go see my friends without having them to come into town to get me I can jsut walk a little ways and be their, I really like that plan

I am not in favor of busses to Eagle Mountain. It is always the same thing, "it's only a 1/4 of a cent increase in sales tax, you will hardly notice". Then, a couple of years later it is found to be insuficient and another 1/4 of a cent is needed because of climbing fuel prices or some other reason while at the same time an increase in property taxes will take effect because of "insufficient" revenue for the other well intentioned but always expensive projects that the government officials come up with. I for one don't want to pay a dime for a service I will never use. If busses are truly needed then they should pay for themselves like any other business has to, in this case by charging a fair that will support it and maybe even make a profit. Why should the taxpayers have to subsidize everything. Vote no on Proposition 1
