It's actually Steven not Ryan
Ya, who is Ryan? there isnt a ryan on the starting roster!! Steven Romero... Number 18.
Next week will be a different story. You will face a team in Layton that allowed 60 yards of total offense against Bonneville. Don't get to happy about your offense because Layton is going to shut you down. They are too fast, too strong, and they play defense. LOOK OUT!!! This one should be a battle. And Layton's offense is 10 times better than Clearfield's. #33 for Layton is the fastest high school kid I've ever seen.
typical cottonwood getting over a hundred yards in penalties, if the colts want to have a respectable program the coaches should try and control the kids
Better score more than the 20 you put on Bonneville or this game will be a Joke. You say Layton is Fast, Cottonwood is quicker and Bigger up front and their receivers and Backs will make Layton look slow as they are, beyond Kopecky. Layton has one really fast Player and it is Kopecky and he can't cover all of Cottonwoods players at once on Defense. Guess we will finish this next friday night in Layton and see who is for real and who is not.
Anonymous. Why in the world would you believe a reporter who gets two first names of players wrong and even misquotes the coach who obviously knows his QB's first name. Cottonwood did not have 160 yards in penalties and at no time during the game were the kids out of control even for a moment. A high energy team like Cottonwood will always have more penalties than average. Please personally ask Coach Thomas for a DVD of the game. I'm certain he will be glad to supply it and you can see what actually happens during the game. Extremely poor job of reporting by the Deseret News.
Cottonwood has always been out of control. I dont think that they have played a game in 12 years that they havent gotten a personal foul. In 2004 in the state championship game when they were playing Davis they would have won if they werent out of control and there stud reciever wasnt out of control and poped off way too much to an offical.
This reporter was so inaccurate, I was at the game and there were not 160 yards in penaltys. and we had one unsportsmanlike. we also had two penalties that on film were incorrect.. people often don't know that when a team like clearfield plays they get sympathy from the refs because the score is so high.
That was pretty horrible... Steven Romero and Alo Moli... not Isi Moli or Ryan Romero. And just for the record- Those boys are some of the greatest kids you'll ever meet. Not out of control at all. And bring it on Layton.
I have attended a few Colts games and find them entertaining to watch, so I ventured to Layton. After the horrendous drive, (1.5 hrs for 35 miles?) I watched a good game. Both sides had their moments, but all the hype on CWood seems to be justified. The main thing, they know how to win close ones. I'm guessing that Layton will be glad that the Colts are not 5A until next year.
