I can't believe the city council is attacking advertising for the businesses that generate our tax dollars! Who do they think they are, Aspen Colorado? West Valley is just West Valley, no matter how hard you try. Car dealers pay the most in taxes in any city, and you are going to take away the gorilla? Who's going to buy a car without a gorilla on the roof? I can barely resist buying a car every time I see the gorilla - they have to hire extra help to handle the influx of customers when they put up the gorilla.
this is a priority on your agenda? What about gang problems, drugs out on the streets, domestic abuse etc etc?
I guess Inflated Rubber King Kong is much more dangerous huh?
Just wondering?????????
When are we going to see that we are letting the government take a little bit more of our freedom piece by piece?
As citizens, we are able to enforce our wishes by boycotting businesses with "gaddy" advertising gimmicks. Why does the planning commission or city think that they need to regulate every breath we take?
If we only knew what all these stupid rules cost us from the federal government down to the local towns!
Contact the city and tell them "enough is enough!!!"
I just liked the title of the article. I didn't bother reading more because that would just ruin it for me.
I have a shop on 3500s and the building to my west blocks the view to my shop. With out a-frames or banners people just drive by. Small business owners dont have large ad budgets with out street trafic most of us would close. Doing business in WVC is hard, cant wait for my lease to be up and move.
