As good as it would be to have two- four really good teams in conference, it would be better for all if all MWC teams did well against out of conference foes. It will be easier to become a BCS conference than to join one. If they can do that the conference will be hot at the end of the season.
Harmon is such a homer. TCU is as capable of winning the conference as any team in league. BYU and their over rated 1-6 out of conference coach, won't get out of Ft. Worth with a win, and Utah will lose their typical 2-3 in conference games. Harmon needs to stop gulping the kool-aid, and start doing some research.
"....won't get out of Ft. Worth with a win"?
Perhaps not, as TCU is a quality team. But the last time the two teams played in FT. Worth, BYU won rather handily.
TCU was considered a better team then than this year's model; BYU is considered a better team now than the one from 06. So I like BYU's chances again. But, the ball is shaped funny and anything can happen when two good teams play, notwithstanding past results. Good luck to the Frogs all the way up till BYU game day.
Can't wait to get the season underway. Go Cougs!
I see BYU winning the TCU game. But I am concerned when TCU comes to SLC...I am afraid TCU will be victorious.
More like, concerned BYU troll.
BYU will have already clinched the outright MWC title before playing the yewts in SLC
Has TCU ever beaten BYU in Conference play? I mean, besides that obvious fumble that was some how ruled as a touchdown?
Don't get me wrong, TCU will be tought to defeat at home. But all you TCU fans need to remember: without a couple of questionable calls going their way, TCU would not have beaten BYU and may not have beaten Utah in their "undefeated" conference season. And other than that one season, how have they done? Color me not all that impressed.
It will be great to see BYU win on the road at TCU and have the 'Frogs beat a dazzled utah team. The self deluding utes had better start criticizing the officiating or hoping for an injury to blame.
BYU will have clinched the MWC title before playing the Panthers in Provo.
GO ZOOBS!!!
"The self deluding utes had better start criticizing the officiating..."
Typical BYU hypocrite. Posting a comment like that RIGHT AFTER one reads NevadaCOUG say, "Has TCU ever beaten BYU in Conference play? I mean, BESIDES THAT OBVIOUS FUMBLE TAHT WAS SOME HOW [sic] RULED AS A TOUCHDOWN?"
Zoobs have never been big on self-consistency. Criticizing the officiating is never allowed as an excuse for losses--until BYU loses (like against UCLA)
