5 Games! no way that happens! fire Brent Guy..no way that SHOULD happen!

I think Brent Guy is making progress. I hope that it shows up in the results this year. I think taking over a team, that was literally at the bottom of the barrell, takes time to rebuild. Probably 4-6 years. I think he deserves our support, both in attendance and in the media. This talk of firing him is boring and makes no progress. Plus, we are a small school with a limited budget. I don't think it would help us any to fire him before his contract is expired. Personally, I am fired up for this season and I hope that U of U and BYU come in expecting a cake walk, and find something quite the opposite. Go Aggies!

He doesn't want to be in Cache Valley, he doesn't recruit kids that want to be in Cache Valley. So why would players who don't want to be there play for a coach who doesn't want to be there?

if the program was so low when BG took over, then why did he win 3 games with MD's players?

I came across this article quite by accident. I thought USU gave up their football program after last season.

Give brent guy a chance this is the year his recruits will actually be playing and have had atleast a year under their belt. If they don't have bowl game this year they will for sure next year. Go AGGIES!!!!

The Aggies play 7 opponents that went "bowling" last year. Give Brent Guy a break! He won 2 games at the end of the season when they could have shut it down and gone home for the year. Playing and or supporting teams with losing records is not fun. Duke University has not had a winning record since 1994. They play a tough schedule in a tough conference. Should they fire the coach every 3 years for making the best of a lopsided situation?

Given USU's situation, even Urban Meyer would have struggled there.

Utah State has only 2 winnable games at home. That means, they'd have to win 3 road games to get to 5 wins.

Best case scenario is 4 wins. 2 or 3 wins is more likely. 5 wins will get Guy a nomination for "coach of the year."

USU didn't get into the WAC because of its football program. It doesn't take a dummy to tell you that. USU actually competes quite well in the other WAC sports.

than that, "5 wins". USU was pretty competitive last year. We just didn't finish off some games the way we should have. If we can do that this year, the win total could be between 4 and 6. We'll just have to wait and find out.

The good thing is we don't have to wait long to find out how things will go as the season is almost upon us.
