Just wondering...

if I could come over for dinner sometimes....LOL!! I'm just kidding. I was posted in Afghanistan years ago, and I used to eat and very much enjoyed Afghan meals. Just looking at the pictures of the food you are cooking is making me hungry.

Good to see that your family is doing well.

If you have a Trader Joe's (chain speciality market), they have Persian Cucumbers and they ARE much better than American cucumbers.

I spent last year in Afghanistan as an embedded trainer and ate often with my Afghan Soldiers. The food was great. Looking at that Sallata recipe makes my mouth water. I know at least 15 guys that would die for another Afghan meal complete with Nan and several glasses of Chai!!!

i only wish there were some good middle eastern restaurants here in SLC, I spent some time in DC and was always eating afghan and moroccan food.
