if I could come over for dinner sometimes....LOL!! I'm just kidding. I was posted in Afghanistan years ago, and I used to eat and very much enjoyed Afghan meals. Just looking at the pictures of the food you are cooking is making me hungry.

If you have a Trader Joe's (chain speciality market), they have Persian Cucumbers and they ARE much better than American cucumbers.
I spent last year in Afghanistan as an embedded trainer and ate often with my Afghan Soldiers. The food was great. Looking at that Sallata recipe makes my mouth water. I know at least 15 guys that would die for another Afghan meal complete with Nan and several glasses of Chai!!!
i only wish there were some good middle eastern restaurants here in SLC, I spent some time in DC and was always eating afghan and moroccan food.
Count me in.
