Hey guy at the Ute Athletic Dept - I am a Ute and love ripping the Cougs too but don't forget to keep your intelligence about you when doing it. I am referring to your rip on Doak Walker award winner Luke Staley. It's hard not to argue that kid was one of the best athletes to ever step foot on either campus. He had about every injury and surgery imaginable before he finished at BYU. Injury ought to keep either team's athletes out of the criticism. These are just kids and if they suck well then okay say they suck but no one can control injury. Rip Ty all you want because he had a noodle arm and had 7 ints in one NFL game but as a Ute I have a ton of respect for Luke Staley. I would have loved to see him in red. I love my Utes but I also love pure football talent and watched some BYU games just to see him glide around the corner like few others could. Let's keep it real unlike our Cougar counterparts. But yeah go ahead and rip Ty Detmer, one of the best college quarterbacks in history... idiotic. You have to respect Ty's college game as much or more than Luke Staley. He set dozens upon dozens of NCAA passing records, put on a show in a win against the #1 team in the nation, and won the Heisman trophy. I don't think your boy Alex Smith can match up to that. How's he doing out in San Francisco, anyway?
