Were you going to make a point besides the one I just made?

I'll wait.

TDS fans can't have it both ways. They can't pick and choose which "facts" they are more convenient(neither can they make any up). Either a single sportswriter can represent ALL OF SPORTSNATION, or Chris Fosters' comments about Utah being BYU-lite cannot be used by TDS posters on any thread.

Who are you arguing with?

"One analyst does not Sportscenter make, neither ESPN.com"...

You just take off on your own little tangent.

I'll leave it to you to inform the rest of BYU and BYU-lite fans.

"TDS fans can't have it both ways. They can't pick and choose which "facts" they are more convenient(neither can they make any up)."

I'll give you that. Just make sure the rest of the "little brothers" understand the concept.

BTW, which team in the nation has the longest winning streak, which team has run the table in the MWC the past two years, which team is ranked in the top 20, AP, Coaches Poll and ESPN, which quarterback played through a 3rd degree shoulder seperation, which team sells out the stadium, which team won the past two years at both stadiums? Which team has won the National Championship title and finised the season ranked #1, which team has the players that earned the Heisman, 4 Davey O'Brien Awards, 2 Outland Trophies, a Doak Walker Award, and a Maxwell Award and wich team has not-- ZERO, ZILTCH, NADA (Utah State has at least one, an Outland Trophy)?

I will admit, Utah has their share of excuses, scoreless game at UNLV (left UNLV coaches laughing), lost to AFA, and a birdie from Joe Glen.

Facts at ya little bro, facts...

Bring-it-on...
re: Door swings both ways | 5:02 p.m. Aug. 19, 2008
Bring-it-on?

Most of the answers to your questions have something to do with 1980s. So BYU won the conference championship 2 yrs in a row. The Utes did that not too long ago, only when we did it, we had half as many losses as your "dynasty", and came out with a BCS game.

Yeah, we got it handed to us in Las Vegas last year, but that would make it the 1st loss to the Rebels since the 70s. BYU lost to them TWICE just this decade alone.

Quoting you:

"Most of the answers to your questions have something to do with 1980s". You said "TDS fans can't have it both ways. They can't pick and choose which "facts" they are more convenient(neither can they make any up)."

Sorry, you either missed the words, or have no concept of time.

"BTW, which team in the nation has the longest winning streak, which team has run the table in the MWC the past two years, which team is ranked in the top 20, AP, Coaches Poll and ESPN, which quarterback played through a 3rd degree shoulder seperation, which team sells out the stadium, which team won the past two years at both stadiums?"

Those are the facts, bro...

Living in the past, and excuses?

Way to bring it.

Must be fun being a BYU wannabe.

"Door"@5:46, what's this about a "BYU wannabe"? Pretty big talk from a fan of a school that's pretty much a Pac-10 wannabe, no?

At times like this, statistics can be highly amusing. Like BYU's all-time record against the Pac-10: 30 wins, 56 losses, 1 tie. Comfort yourselves, Cougars, the Utes fare only a little better: 50 wins, 89 losses, 3 ties. (Gotta love schools' online media guides! Look it up!)

You Cougars and Utes are pretty entertaining. Childish, but entertaining. Please continue amusing the rest of the college sports world with your banter about whose ugly sister is the ugliest. Meanwhile, we'll get ready for FOOTBALL!

It will be fun to see how BYU fares against the PAC 10 this year, then, won't it.
Dream | 9:57 a.m. Aug. 20, 2008
Definitely an NCAA championship year for the Cougars! For the MWC, don't even give it a thought!
RE: Voice @ 8:08 | 10:03 a.m. Aug. 20, 2008
Yes--it certainly will be fun to see how BYU fares against the Pac-10. For one of us, I'm sure. But let me say--yet once again--IF the BYU *players* look at the Washington and UCLA games as gimmes, like some of you fans, it'll be highly enjoyable for all of us in the Pac-10. And more of the same, I might add.

Since the Utes won't make it past Michigan (much as I'd love it if they did) and Fresno State has no realistic hope of running the table, BYU not making the BCS just might help us out. We'll be happy to try to send both USC and ASU, then, since you all won't make it on talk alone!

You Cougar faithful should hope for your own sakes that your team doesn't have its head in the clouds as much as you fans do. IF it does, here's the future: 30-58-1 all-time vs. the Pac-10, 7-5 on the season, a thrilling trip to the New Mexico Bowl, and Bronco booed off the field and out the door after the 35-17 loss to MWC champion Utah by some of you ever-loyal "fully invested" groupies.

Enjoy!

Wow, you have a perky disposition.

College parity is really gonna mess with your PAC-10 mind.

"Yeah, we got it handed to us in Las Vegas last year, but that would make it the 1st loss to the Rebels since the 70s. BYU lost to them TWICE just this decade alone."

BYU has NEVER lost to UNLV in Las Vegas.

7-0 baby :)

I noticed that the PAC has something else to be proud of, the NCAA's latest APR (academic progress rating) numbers ...

BCS bottom 10 in football:
1. ARIZONA 902
2. WASHINGTON STATE 916
3. South Florida 917
4. Kansas 919
5. Purdue 920
6 (tie). OREGON 921
6 (tie). South Carolina 921
8. Mississippi State 924
9 (tie). Michigan State 926
9 (tie). OREGON STATE 926

btw, BYU 946, Utah 944
Pac-10 Voice to 2:42 | 4:09 p.m. Aug. 20, 2008
Um... so that's the BEST you can do? Weak, man, weak. Most of us who are arguing about FOOTBALL success look at stuff that's scoreboard-related.

But let's humor you anyway. First off--Surprise, surprise! You're ranking the "BCS bottom 10." Why, strangely enough, there ARE some Pac-10 schools in there! (Gee, you think?) And Big 10! And Big 12! They're all (...drum roll...) part of the BCS!

Check out these APRs, too, as long as you're on the subject:

Stanford 986
Cal 967
Washington 948 (tie)
USC 948 (tie)

And as you said, BYU 946, Utah 944.

Therefore, according to your own argument--academically speaking, BYU and Utah are both in the running with the middle of the Pac-10. (UCLA 941, ASU 933, BTW.) Just as they are in athletics!

Hey, just remember, YOU brought it up.
re:PAC 10 | 7:35 p.m. Aug. 20, 2008
Parity....

It's gonna mess with the heads of those who live their lives like "they" are the BCS schools...

I give the BCS 5 more years of existence.

proud cougar fan | 6:35 p.m. Aug. 25, 2008
I know were ranked 17 and everything but we still get no respect. All the other teams ahead of us and a lot behind us will play many games on national tv. we get only one and were not even guaranteed one because we have to get to a bowl game for that. has anybody here read kirk herbstreit's kickoff countdown/ herbie awards on espn.com. he has utah winning the conference and the only other mention of the Mtn. west is that he thinks Brian Johnson is underrated. ARE YOU SERIOUS? He's barely better if better at all then Max hall. and what about Collie he's got NFL potential... come on herbstreit
