This is good information for all of us. I confess I didn't know it was the law to have the lights--I thought it was just highly advisable. I'll correct that. I also urge all bikers to comply with the law wherever you are deficient. And while I'm at it, to all car drivers, will you please be patient, especially when we are riding as the law allows?

Get off the white line. It is not there to test your skill.

We don't stay on the white line for practice. Most bikers I know try to get over as far as possible. But unless you bike, you probably aren't aware of all the rocks and debris on the side of the road. Sometimes "as far to the right as practical" is into the lane itself - - which is still legal for the bike.

I'm always amazed to hear or read "Get off the line" by a motorist complaining about a cyclist. And I thought cyclists are considered vehicles by law; and that the law now provides for a three feet distance of safety. Of course most riders should ride to the right as far as possible, but far too many vehicles do not treat cyclists with any respect despite the fact that cyclists are considered vehicles and have a right to the laneamazing, to think a motorists needs to slow down and properly pass a "vehicle" or in this case a cyclist.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
