If she is that quick to snap when asked who she is, she has to be that perv from 30 years ago! This story is hilarious!
Where are the comparative pictures to go with the story?
This is the junk that should be found in the national inquirer. My goodness. I'm going to check out the sltrib and see if they have news that is pertinent to anything, because this article is totally irrelevant to any normal person
Nothing like this ever happened in my mission!
Very interesting story. What a woman.
Where does a freak like Joyce McKinney get $50,000 to clone a dog?
It is unfortunate that this story has been reported again and completely unfair to the missionary who was abducted. I see no reason that his name needed to be used. Why should his family and children, if he has any, have to read about this mess.
Same on Deseret News.
Get real Deseret News. What are you now, the Enquirer or the Globe or what? Over in England, where the missionary incident took place, this is called Yellow Journalism. Put yourself in the shoes of the missionary and then 30 years later the story is dragged up again. Maybe this is something people would like to forget about. Maybe I should have my dog cloned and they will put it in the paper, oh but what must I do first to get that notoriety.
You are a newspaper, not a gossip column.
That is one screwed up person! It makes me sick she got away with it. Just because she did it to a guy, apparently. Wow, she clearly hasn't gotten a hold on herself yet either. Craaaazy!
How disgusting to have the headline then a story that repeatedly states it is all speculation as to whether Bernann and Joyce are one and the same. Not only that, the whole old story is highlighted to I'm sure the pain of the victim while there is no positive ID on the woman.
Shame on you, DN.
I agree with Sarah Jane. There are laws to protect victims of sexual abuse, but why does it not apply to him since he's male?
I read this article in the Salt Lake Tribune earlier today.
How come this woman was a beuty queen, she doesnt has a little trait of beuty at all.Anyway,i can understand how she feel about the love she has for the guy,she was so scared of losing him.Seems she is the type who cant understand that love cant be forced.Hey,i love her clone puppies.
Re John Pack Lambert.
You sound disappointed... I'm sorry! Who in their right mind would ever want to be stalked and kidnapped on their mission. There are better ways to get ones kicks. This is completely insane!
I thought it was standard journalistic ethics not to print names of victims of sex crimes. What gives?
Where are the pictures? That would have made the story!
I did not make the previous post using this name. Not that anything like this did happen in my mission, but I feel my identity has been attacked. There is a very small percentage chance, and I mean very small percentage chance, that the poster shares my name, but even then it is misleading.
From now on I am going to post as Zelnhelm83. I am not sure this will help anything, but I will then be able to accuse any users of that post of being outright imposters.
please don't name the victims in the article. It is difficult enough for male victims to be taken seriously in the first place. Many more males don't report abuse than females because people don't believe them. I am sure this was something that if he ever disclosed it, he would've wanted to do it on his timetable and not have his entire family in the headlines again. Editors, please be more careful in the future to protect victims of abuse. This isn't Inside Edition or Access Hollywood.
good little behind the news story. I thought this was just a utah "urban myth" story when I heard it years ago.
This was a funny story, very entertaining. I've never heard of a man getting raped. This lady should have a reality TV show.
