I wonder what Mike Huckaberry will say if Obama's VP happened to be a member of LDS? Is he going to put both down? Huckabeee is a jealous man and only talks about ill on people. He must have no confidence himself. We welcome any evangelicals to participate to vote Mitt Romney. Love one another and thou shalt not be envy of others!

Go Mitt 08'
I love to see M & M Ticket soon!!

If not Romney, the who? I can't find anybody better than him and I doubt anyone else can either?

Look's like Huckabee supporters are here. If Huckabee goes to the House with McCain the Mormon persecution will be worse. They were both attacking Mormons before the Mitt Romney race. Sadly that persecution prophecy will happen then or maybe it's already happening.

To the person who said the only place pushing for Mitt as Vp is Utah:

Think again!!! Or better yet, get out more or read more!!! The talk of Mitt is all over the nation! Where have you been? Mitt has handily won nearly every internet poll for the past 6 weeks or so. There are a couple he has not won, but most of them he has. If you don't beleive me, get on Hot Seat on aol and check it out. Over 114,300 people have voted and 63% of them have voted for Romney. He has handily won every state except for Minnesota which Pawlenty has won. That's it. Just one state went to someone other than Mitt.

So, to say that Mitt is only talked about here in Utah, is ludicrous and a big fat lie or wishful thinking or something.

Mitt is a GREAT man and would do wonders for our nation. Less hate and more open mindedness would be helpful... Stop lying about him. Does "bearing false witness" raise a bell with any of you???

Mitt is talked about on news shows and all over the nation. He is invited all over the place!!!

McCain/Romeny ticket is the best for the GOP. Elect the best team for the good of the country. This team will win in November.
Who is your alternative?
Obama who will raise everybody's taxes? Obama whose character and judgment is questionable? A friend of a terrorist, Ayers and whose spritual counsel is pastor Wright, who is a racist and hates America?
Obama whose wife is bitter and hates America?
Obama, a one term senator, served only for 143 days and has voting patterns resembling a fish out of water? one who changes his mind by voting yes then no and yes again in a matter of minutes? He is the worst flip-flopper of them all. Worse than John Kerry.
Obama who is PRO-abortion and PRO-gay marriages and an avid anti-gun advocate.
Obama who will use a tire gauge as part of his energy plan, rather than drilling here and now?
Go ahead America, doom yourselves by voting for Obama. Expect higher taxes for all, greater government control, bigger government, less jobs, mass exodus of businesses, and higher gas prices, porous borders and insecure homeland. It is really scary. The choice for USA is McCain/Romney team. It will "turn-around" the country.

In 1976 Ronald Reagan ran for President and nearly secured the party nomination over Ford in a closely contested race. He was able to regroup and win the party nomination and the whitehouse in '80. Perhaps Mitt's best days lie in 2012 and not in an immediate run on the McCain ticket.
Humptydumpty | 8:33 p.m. Aug. 7, 2008
Anyone who wants to see Mitt Romney on the ticket should write to McCain's camp and tell him so. You can and should also write the rnc and cpac... every little bit helps, and sometimes, A LOT!!

It was the Catholic fundamentalest ( Baptist) that did "Mitt"in. You see, these so called christians are itimidated by Mormons. they are not sure of their own faith becaus if they were, nothing would be able to intimidate them. you cannot intimidate a dyed in the wool Mormon. why ? mormons know what they are. they know what they have, they stand up once a month and bear their wittness to the congeration during the sacrament meeting before the saviour and all the Angles. this is reliegon 101. have a nice day

McCain-Romney

Barack-Harry Reid

I think I'll vote for Barack anyway, to at least make it close in Utah. If the GOP keeps getting landslides in Utah, both parties will continue to take this state for granted.

I noticed in polls that the percentage who said in 2008 they wouldn't vote for a Mormon is almost double what the polls in 2000 were when Orrin Hatch was running.

Attacking anyone because of their religion is just like attacking the Bill of Rights that is suppose to be the foundation of this great country. Mitt Romney is a Mormon, so what, who cares, judge a man on what he does not by what color skin he has, or gender, or religion. I do live in Virginia, not a LDS member, and would like to see Mitt as VP to McCain. Huckabee doesn't speak for the south, he has forgotten that attacks on someone because of religion rubs those of us that believe in the Constitution of the US the wrong way.
Btw, Obama is an arrogant man, all talk, nothing of substance behind him. No experience, talks like a used car salesman, believes what is good for Obama is good for Obama.
Sorry, it's a tough year for elections, just have to pick the lessor evil of two ho-hum candidates.

Mahonri...that's one of the funniest posts I've read in a while! Thanks...

Indiana is correct. Mitt is at the top of the list if McCain would just swallow his pride a little it will be worked out.

I'd actually like to see a Romney/Jindal ticket in '12. That would be a winning ticket in my mind.

Greg, you ask a valid question and it's been answered by a few. Sure there are Mormons who would vote for Romney because he is Mormon. There are women who would vote for Hillary only because she is a woman. There are blacks who will vote for Obama because he is black. If it was Colin Powell, Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas on the Repub ticket, you wouldn't see the black vote for them like you do on the Dem ticket. Look at what happened to Michael Steele in Maryland ( I think it was there).

Can you explain those situations, then you will have your answer...

Bottom line, as with all elections, it comes down to the white male who votes the winner.
Why Bother? | 2:24 p.m. Aug. 8, 2008
No reason to hold an election. Utah is a One Party Brand, pure and simple. Just like the old Communist Bloc.
Josh | 4:52 p.m. Aug. 8, 2008
Mike Huckabee entered the presidential race for only one reason - To be the spoiler who would make sure that Mitt Romney did not get enough votes to secure the republican nomination. The average "southerner" has enough good judgment to know that Mitt Romney is a better presidential candidate than John McCain, but the introduction of Mike Huckabee by the extreeme right wing members of the republican party was clearly an act of prejudice against mormons that, for better or for worse, will result in the election of Barak Obama.
wrz | 7:54 p.m. Aug. 8, 2008
Romney will not be picked as the VP. He will more likely get Secretary of Commerce or State. Giving him enough prominence and experience in federal governance to run in '12.

It's sad that Mormons have become so pathetically predictable. The Republican party has done more harm to this country under Bush2 than any party ever before in modern history, and Mormons are still willing to entertain the thought of voting for Republican McCain? Don't you get it yet? They don't practice what they preach.
Larry | 12:29 p.m. Aug. 9, 2008
If Mitt is not picked, I am voting Libertarian. Utahns should not put up with this nonsense. Mitt is definitelly the most qualified candidate. You can not even compare Huckabee with Mitt. Bible college vs Harvard and BYU give me a break. Mormons you know if Mitt is not picked it is prejudice. If Mitt is not picked vote Libertarian or some other third party. Democrats do not deserve our vote. What did Clinton ever do for Utah?
N.W.C. | 8:45 a.m. Aug. 10, 2008
I will say this if mcain picks mike huckabee as a running mate the state of utah might go to a democrat for president for the first time since LBJ.

"The Republican party has done more harm to this country under Bush2 than any other party ever before in modern history."

Really? What harm are you talking about? Are you referring to the fact that this country, nor it's allies, have been attacked by terrorists since 9/11?

The Dems are the party of surrender and appeasement. That IS danger.
