"Crush" has David off to a promising start.

A bit of a correction in the trivia part for you, Hodges didn't help write "Never Again". He's actually the subject of the song.

Nice article. I love 'Crush'! But, I wonder if the author of the article has actually listened to the song. He refers to it as a ballad 2 times. If there is one thing Team Archuleta wanted to avoid with this single, it was being called a ballad. They certainly achieved that with this uptempo release. Anyway. Thanks for the support. Firstly, the song is not a ballad. It's a pop song. (How on earth do you confuse a ballad with a pop song? You might as well call Crush a death-metal track if you're going to be that inaccurate).

Crush is brilliant, and Archuleta is even better!

The song is a midtempo, right? Not a ballad. But otherwise, great review. David has many devoted fans, and he's winning more every day. I hope the song does very well on the charts and I absolutely can't wait for the CD, which I imagine will have a bit of something to please every fan.

Totally agree. Thanks for the accurate review, other than the fact that it's not a ballad. Nice and easy to listen too, and very catchy. I agree totally that it's a tease. But I think when David Archuleta sings it live, we'll really hear the power of his voice.

I love the song it's amazing. I only see great things for Archie. Also David Hodges did not help wright "Never Again" Kelly and her former guitarist Jimmy Messer were the only two that who wrote it, David Hodges was the inspiration for it.

Amazon.com is reporting that this comes out for sale on August 12th. I hope that is accurate.

I love Crush. I admit it was different that I expected for David's first single-it's more amazing than I thought it would be. I hope the CD is as good as his first release.I agree with Pastel's comments, since David's live performances are even better than recordings. The beauty of his voice and the connection he has with the music will make Crush even better when he performs it live.
