I've been paying attention to The Utah Sentencing Commission over the past couple of years and I've been very impressed. The Commission has evolved into some very clear thinking on how to deal with behaviors without destroying the offenders. I wish the Governor would bring the rest of state government around too.

This sounds very reasonable. Teenagers or not, these kids knew right from wrong, and sending explicit photos of themselves was wrong. Being charged with a misdemeanor sounds like incentive to stay away from this kind of activity. Let the kids know it's criminal.
