This cult is so sick! And these girls are so brainwashed to accept middle-aged men as their "husband" that it may be impossible for them ever to realize that they are nothing more than a concubine in the man's harem. These sexually exploited children will need years of therapy before they will be able to throw off Jeff's evil teachings ...if they ever can. Christ must weep when He looks down from Heaven and sees the evil being done in His holy name.

It's becoming too obvious to deny that Warren Jeffs needs to be exactly where he is!
It's also going to be interesting to see whether the evidence seized at the YFZ ranch will be inadmissable in court due to the very possible illegality of how it was obtained. Which, from a Constitutional standpoint, it was. It will be sad if the actions of Texas officials, well intentioned though they may have been, prevent the prosecution of this man. The arrogance of Texas CPS actions may taint the case.

It should also be made known that many of the people who are among the original Short Creek people are not followers of Jeffs. His ascension to leadership was NOT unopposed and his actions solidifying his position and since then have not been approved by many who do accept polygamy as part of their religious beliefs.

I hope those who do believe in Mr. Jeffs begin to realize that they have been deceived--badly! And that those among them who have been guilty of the sexual exploitation of young people will be punished.

As for those who believe in polygamy among consenting adults--I don't agree, but it's not my business.
Where are you? | 10:40 a.m. Aug. 6, 2008
Where are all the attackers of the Texas judicial system after this article? There is nothing more to defend in this perverted, mentally ill, church.

Why don't any of you write in and admit you were wrong standing up for child rapists? Texas was right all along.

Show some integrity! Now is your chance to uphold truth and justice!

I agree! Where are you now! What do you have to say! 12 years old! I had to stop reading the many comments because I was so angry I was not able to sleep. I hope you ae losing sleep not over your "prophet" but because you know it is wrong.
Did you see it? | 8:52 p.m. Aug. 6, 2008
They said they can't talk about any evidence they have..... they said the letter was from a 12 year old girl... apparently if it were evidence they wouldn't be talking about it. HAHAHAHa

What is sad is that the "evidence" has a high likelyhood of being thrown out of court due to the
method Texas used to sieze it.
The reality is that Jeffs is in jail and is no threat to anyone. Two 5-25 year consecutive sentences have eliminated physical contact with any children.
What is a shame is that the children are threatened by the State two years after the man was locked up.

The real shame is on texas. There are many women in the U.S. that are abused. They can get protection from the goverment for them and their children. But FLDS cannot for the government agencies where they live are not interested in helping them. only in tearing away their children in a effort to totaly destroy their way of life. I am sick at heart for NONE of these women will ever turn to a government agency for help if they are abused. On Warren Jeffs: the only thing he has been PROVEN to be involved in is preforming a wedding ceremony in which the girl was underage. I find it extremely confusing that they can charge someone with assisted rape when the person who suposidly comitted the crime has not been charged. isn't that like arresting the man who sold bank robbers weapons for assiting in the robbery but not charging the robbers? All the rest is hear say. This make the FLDS comments that the raid was to get evidence against Warren Jeffs seem all too believable.I KNOW they didn't care a pinch for those children or mothers.

You said a mouthful amberrose..........they went for the trust money and property and are now using every excuse to get Jeffs.........can't get in the place with legal means so go in on a fake call.
They risk loseing the whole case and it would serve the keystone cops right.
