An all-around amazing book. Just enough suspense and surprising new concepts to her world, and just when you think you've got it figured out with one characters view of things, Meyer hooks you with another different story.

More books make a difference? | 1:54 p.m. Aug. 4, 2008
I wonder if there were to be 7 books in this series as well, if the last one would sell more. I don't know, but Harry Potter did have a few more books on this one to give more time for people to be hooked.

I think Harry Potter had a larger audience. It may not knock it down, but there are a lot of people that are enjoying them.

Who the heck is Stephanie Meyers?
One question | 4:39 p.m. Aug. 4, 2008
WHY?
Have we so lost our taste that either the theme, the increased sexuality for very young readers, or the quality of writing (or all of them together) is worth THIS?

I'm glad this is the last book in the series. I hate series books because invariably the authors drag it on just to put all their children and grandchildren through college. I always feel taken advantage of. So far, the reviews from my own family are only mediocre for this last book.

i loved the twilight series, i still do, but all of the sex in the first few chapters changed my opinion of Bella and Edward. but breaking dawn but breakign dawn is a really great story, if stephanie myer took out some language and sexuallity

I loved the Twilight series, I still do, but all of the sex in the first few chapters changed my opinion of Bella and Edward. But breaking dawn is definantly a really great story, if Stephanie Myer took out some language and sexuallity. As a lds, I don't think it was appropriate.

I LOVED the last book! I found it to be very satisfying. It tied up all the loose ends and plot threads, and ended in a very good place. After Eclipse, I was a little bit worried about how this book would turn out, but there was no reason to be.
Stephenie Meyer herself said something to the effect that no matter what she decides to write, it will make people angry, and judging from some of the previous comments, I guess that's true. I, for one, enjoyed it very much. And although the first third of the book threw a strange curveball at us, the ending part made everything clear. I don't enjoy a lot of sexuality in books, either, but I felt that Meyer wrote the honeymoon part as tastefully as she could under the circumstances.

a BIG fan that hated the story | 10:58 a.m. Aug. 9, 2008
Breaking Dawn was overall an "OK" book I felt like Stephanie Meyers was in a rush to end it, and end it happy. I was drawn into the story with the wedding and the honey-moon...IT WAS GREAT!! And I had high hopes for the story but it wasn't a very good read after the honey-moon, the end was boring and anti-climatic....she leads up to a huge battle that doesn't happen and through out all the other books she is saying how hard it will be for bella to leave her family and become a vampire and this story ends all of that which was pretty LAME! But it's her story and she ended it the way she wanted I guess... I just think more needed to happen...

I think the biggest problem I have with this last book is that it's marketed for teens... like, girls just getting over Hannah Montanna... and there's Sado-masochistic sex in it? She didn't even notice she was covered in bruises? Then she gets pregnant with a child that breaks her ribs, makes her spew "fountains" of blood, and then she has to drink gallons of blood to bring the child to term? Um... for starters... yuck. Besides, how can he impregnate her anyway? He's a vamp. Doesn't that contradict the storyline? I don't know. Whether it was realistic or not... this is for young teens. Poor marketing choice for your demographic, editors.
