mining family

We have heard the opinions of state and national leaders;we have heard the opinions of state and national media outlets;we have heard the opinions of people living on the Wasatch Front and other places where the coal industry is known by most only through what they see on TV and read;we have heard from the lawyers, and we have heard from grieving family members searching for answers as well as retribution. The one group of people we have not heard from, however, are the miners-the real experts on the coal industry who know better than any what needs to be done to both improve safety and ensure job security through continued production. These men were told by Huntsman's commission that if they spoke, their recommendations and insights would be taken seriously and incorporated into the official report.Well, the commission lied.So what I want to know is when are these men going to be given a voice and extended the respect of being treated like the experts & professionals they are? Without the miners voice, all these editorials presuming to know whats best are truly disrespectful! Regulation not molded by the real experts is only regulating to regulate &will result in the continued.unemployment.of.our.miners.
