Daily high | 4:22 p.m. Aug. 2, 2008
I still don't understand why the high for the day is marked at 2 pm. We all know the temperature continues to climb until about 6 pm. According to our thermometer which is on the east side of our home and shaded after about half-past noon, all but three days between June 21 and July 31 made 100 or higher at 6 pm.

It has definitely been hot this year.
