It is horrible that Webb thinks all this nuclear waste is vital to our state. We need to stop the insanity of importing things that are dangerous to our environment and people.
I would encourage Mr. Webb to read a book by Mr. Ball called The Day They Bombed Utah. Our state has some of the highest rates for M.S. and some forms of cancer. Studies have shown that a number of these diseases could have links to our environment.
Rep. Matheson is opposed to these industries because his own father was killed by nuclear testing. Rep. Bishop should be ashamed of himself.
It is time that we as a state started taking our health and environment seriously. We need to break this states attachment to the nuclear waste industry. A good start would be to vote out all of our GOP leaders who have ties to this industry. That would include Bishop, Curtis, Valentine, Morley, Chaffetz, and Hughes. Let's get rid of them all.
Governor Huntsman should stand up to the Nuclear Industry and let it be known we don't want them in our state. God help us all!!.

It is probably one of the worst examples of conflict of interest in Utah -- right in the Deseret News. Lavar Webb is, or has been, a paid political consultant for the radioactive waste dispostal industry, and is granted free access and space to the major newspaper in the state.

I have criticized DesNews headline writers before... but this one was great. Well done.

Concerning 4 10's

Frank. You are full of hot air. Not sure if you are trying to be cute or serious, but your vendetta conspiracy is bunk. Your few state employees must not be well placed. I believe the the 70/20/10 numbers are just about right. About the only people who are angry that I have heard speak out are the union leaders who are desperately trying to keep the employees dues coming into their pockets. Happy employees are not good for their job security.

LaVarr. If you don't think that employees in the private sector don't fritter away work hours chatting about idol or 4th and 18, just like state employees, you are living in some fantasy world somewhere. Pick 100 private section worker bees and compare them with 100 public sector working bees and guess what, you won't see much difference.

What will bring this to an afterthought is a strong outcry of public opinion. But, with so many services available online and the opportunity now to get a birth certificate at 5:30 on your way home from work you may not find many complaints.

BTW, I do like Peter and Tinkerbell!
