Any chance we can get some more pics and maybe even a video of the car in operation?
I worked on the project until I graduated in April (we were in the design stage then). It was awesome, got to visit China, Korea, Chicago, and Toronto. Anyway, the car is in Detroit for a conference right now, and I heard that the engine isn't quite ready. Next year it will be race worthy, that is the goal. This year was proof-of-concept, and if you consider the carbon fiber body, engine, aerodynamics, and everything were designed last august and manufactured from april-mid-july, that's pretty cool for all of the 21 universities involved. I'm just sad I couldn't be there for manufacturing.
That's right, we're out here in Detroit and will present it on Wednesday. The engine has not been fired up yet, but we plan to finish the wiring on Thursday with the help of some guys from GM Racing so we can break in and dyno the engine. If we are able to do that, we'll try to keep you posted.
