How inspiring to read about such an outstanding young woman! Lindsey Brinton is not only beautiful on the outside, but her obvious adherence to high moral standards is refreshing in a world inundated with immodesty and indecency. Congratulations to this remarkable young lady! She has quite a future ahead of her!

I'm honored to know this beautiful young woman. And she is sweet, kind, genuine, and humble even though she has accomplished more in her 18 years than most could ever dream of in a lifetime. She makes everyone feel special, and truly radiates her love of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There couldn't be a finer representative as America's Junior Miss. Way to go, Lindsey.

Congratulations Lindsey! I applaud you for not just winning but for sticking to your standards.

Nice job!

OK, how long before the anti's come out and start attacking the LDS church? "Modesty? We don't need no stinking modesty!"....

Um.....pass.

Hey, what happened to that DeGroot guy? He on vacation or something? I miss his journalism. You know, the pandering to literate types, only not be so much literate. Or the pandering to virtual reality types, only not being so, well.

Another delightsome and wholesome piece. I love the Mormon Times--thank you Deseret News! We could use more publications such as this.

Lindsey you're truly a fine example. I hope even the boys will appreciate that and continue their dress standards for the world to see.
More modesty needed | 5:52 p.m. July 26, 2008
I really like those nice modest dresses that the FLDS women wear. If only the rest of the world would willingly follow their example this earth would be a much better place.

If only we still had the modesty of the Victorian age--dresses from our necks to our heels, and swimsuits to our knees. Why did society ever choose to deviate from these modest styles?
