Oil drops again as U.S. pump prices slip to near $4

You are a nut.
Hooray!
And this is supposed to mean we should vote Republican - right?
What kind of dope says we don't need to drill?, we need it all.
"I want it all and I want it my way" is a perfect motto for conservatism.
As Rush ever bought up stability and markets? Markets love stability. If you knew a president was going to bomb Iran on a certain date. You would be smart to put every dime you had in oil futures.
This is a fact. It doesn't mean every time something happens it because of a conspiracy. It's not a ether or proposition.
Go figure.
Hey! Go make someone smile and buy their SUV from them, since it's just a bubble.
You'll be crying in your milk in a few months.
It's how speculation works.
If we need off-shore drilling (and we do) you should consider throwing the Democrats out of Congress. They are against it. Nancy Peloci refuses to even bring off-shore drilling to a vote in the House.
Props to Bush for removing the 1992 drilling prevention law. Drill off-shore I say!!
"Why the heck when oil prices drop over 10 dollars in less than a week, the price of gas either stays the same, or goes up??!!"
Why drop prices when suppliers (the few who call the shots) know everyone needs to buy gas... regardless of price?
"Wouldn't it seem logical for gas prices to go down?"
Suppliers go by the bottom line... not logic.
"All this just ticks me off."
The Dems, who now control the US Congress, refuse to drill off-shore and in ANWR. They refuse to tap huge sources of energy in tar sands, shale oil, and coal. Since you're ticked off, vote the Dems out the next election. And for sure, you don't want the Dems to control both the Congress and the White House.
Let's face it, the Monopolistic oil companies control the supply of oil; hence they can win in the supply and demand game. When companies merged, they shut down refineries and now complain that standards have stopped the building of oil refineries for the past 30 years.
Big oil has gotten used to Americans complaining about prices during the summer months and Congress is either unwilling (or unable) to curtail these monopolies.
Americans have little say about "supply" but can be proactive in controlling the "demand" by changing their habits. Conserve -- don't drive; don't drive fast; carpool; buy smaller, more efficient vehicles; use alternative transportation; hope for non-fossil developments.
A recent TV report stated that Americans have decreased their gas consumption by 3.3% which is now the lowest since January of 2007.
Could we even do better? I personally hope that the Oil companies, their distributors, and stations DROWN in the supply of oil -- without demand.
Just what is your point?
Oil spiked but is not in a bubble. There is no huge oversupply of oil like we have seen in houses.
If the economy continues to implode, oil may drop even further. When housing drops enough, the bubble will be finished but we may also be in a depression at that time.
Now, Oil is down over $20/barrel the past 2 weeks and the prices have either remained the same or GONE UP in Utah to some of the higher prices in the nation. I would like the state government to threaten lawsuits for price fixing and then we will sure see the prices go down fast again like it should!

Once, I noticed every time the market price of oil would drop, Bush would attack Chavez, hint about attacking Iran or anger Russia like his goal was destabilizing the oil market so his speculators friends could rake in the money.
