CJ has the talent to play on a regular basis in the NBA.

However, the more important questions are: (1) is he what the Jazz need to go the next step especially this year? (2)Is he the proper long run replacement for Harp and AK?

CJ does not make the Jazz stronger this year. He simply maintains the status quo which means we can't beat LA and probably NO or SA in the playoffs. Houston is also much better this year.

CJ can shoot the 3. However, the Jazz have more confidence in Korver. Hence the trade and the playing time.

CJs defense is weak. Harp is hated by other teams for his defense. All you have to do is listen to the opposition teams commentators and you realize that AK and Harp are respected defenders just like Fisher (was).

CJ is pretty good with potential. However, the 4 mil could be used better in the next year or so on fixing the biggest problems. Part of the lack of interior defense is lack of perimeter defense (CJ).

If those problems are not fixed the Jazz will be out of in the playoffs again.

CJ will be good but not 4 millon a year player. Sasha Vujacic is getting offer arond 3 million. If we want to keep Millsap , Brewer, we have to be careful with money. CJ will be good but we can nor definetly lose other guys.

anyone who thinks the jazz dont have a shot blocker is wrong. ak and millsap are. sometimes, i cant believe jazz fans. i remember a couple of years ago when you were all wanted ak to stay. now all of you want him to leave. but you want defense. now lets think, if ak goes, what happened to the little defense we have. GONE!
for those who think we should keep cj, he plays just as much defense as boozer. we need to keep korver for clutch free throws, and mo will be a high scorer for us.

The Jazz brass are as clueless as I thought they we're last year. They didn't match ,they probably won't sure up our defense in the paint either. I'll be back the day Sloans gone.

Listening to some of you folks you would think we are talking about a starter, or at least a major contributor, and not the 11th man on a twelve man roster.

"...we desperately need to sign this guy"

"for the Jazz to have a legit chance they are going to need CJ"

"Failing to match CJ's offer could be one of the biggest blunders in team history."

Please

CJ is not better than AK.

CJ is not even a Forward, he is a guard, he's not a replacement for Harpring or AK.

CJ is not that good of a defender.

CJ does not want to play for the Jazz.

If CJ was that good he would have beaten Brewer out for the starting spot last year and would have played more minutes when GG was imploding.

Don't get me wrong, CJ played very well in the minutes he got last year and I would like to see him stay in a Jazz uniform, but unless the Jazz clear some roster space and Miles decides he doesn't mind Utah it makes no sense to match the offer and keep him.

Please re-sign CJ Miles. Harpring is a great warrior and is a Sloan guy. He has been a leader and great influence for this young team. But Utah is not getting over the hump with Harpring. We need to start giving a bulk of his minutes to somebody and that somebody is CJ. CJ played 11 minutes a game last year and Harpring 18. Just even out the minutes this year and give CJ 20 a game next year...

KEEP CJ AND TRADE AK

Anyone know what time the Jazz have until?
Keep C.J? | 2:50 p.m. July 25, 2008
Look at the NOW GENERATION reasoning. It's nothing more than the young and their wanting immediate gratification without showing the dedication, paying a few dues, and proving that he is more than a high school sensation. You know this is about 4 or 5 steps up from a high school league, not very many athletes can do this and so far C.J. has not proven he can. Speculation doesn't cut it when bigger money contracts surface. I'll accept this years missing the Revue but not last year and thats the reason people question his committment. 2 years in a row? Let him go we are O.K. without him.

Jazz matched the offer to CJ. I like it, makes sense, shows they like him despite his refusal to show up to summer league. I think this shows they are willing to invest more playing time in him. Good move.

Great news. CJ should stay. Now the first thing that needs to happen is for CJ to meet with Sloan and O'Connor so that they can calm any bad blood that may have arisen during this process. then the kid needs to hit the gym and get in shape!
