This is sad. I understand the IOCs position. I also understand the Iraqi
position. This may not be a time to make the strictest enforcement of internal
IOC rules. I agree that unusual factors in Iraq make complete compliance with
the rules very challenging. The goal of the games is to rise above petty
politics, but that may be too much of a challenge. Let's hope a deal can be
arranged.

dont forget, the games about about the games and the participants, not about
politics, especially this year, right? you bet.
