Developers excited about a new project???
Wow! That is truly amazing. What would REALLY be amazing would be developers excited about an alfalfa field left alone, a park, or open space.
More than anything else, they need to get a Trader Joe's in this shopping center. That would attract lots of people from Davis, Weber, and Salt Lake counties and bring a lot of money to Layton. It's a great national chain but feels like a small market run by mom and pop.
Trader Joe's needs to be anywhere in Utah at this point... but Sugar House is more likely than Layton. I don't know anyone in Davis County who actually eats healthy.
COSTCO own property in that area and is waiting for the interchange
Costco may be scaling back for the time being.
