good luck to this pair!
its great to know compassion still exists and dreams are being conquered somewhere.
you're both heroes in your own right.
race on.
DesNews, this is the type of article I would like to see more of in the news: positive, uplifting, inspiring. With all the bad that occurs each day, there are thousands if not millions of stories of people who have overcome tragedy, disability, and events that would overwhelm the average person. More stories about people like Brian (and Tyler) will help people realize they can make the best of whatever life throws at them. Thanks for the article. And Tyler, as an ultramarathon runner I know how difficult it is to push oneself over long distances and through "the wall," and I've never had to push a racing chair totaling 160 lbs for the long distances I've covered. You are a great friend, a great Christian, and a heck of a strong runner. I tip my moisture wicking run hat to you!
I too wish there were more stories about the inspirational side of sports (and life), although the DesNews does a pretty good job of balancing what leads with what are good reads. Good luck to these two!
Running a marathon is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Unless you have run past 20 miles, you have no idea what goes on. To do it while pushing 160 pounds is the epitome of friendship. "May the wind always be at your back."
These guys finished the race in 4:16:45.
Way to go team Brenchley!
what a great story! proof of what people can do with motivation, endurance and love! Is there a way to donate to their cause?
