We were lucky enough to see Derek and Susan's show in Rochester,NY a couple weeks ago from the front row center right against the stage at a general admission show. Your review is spot-on, as this show could easily turn into something huge. Still, the smaller venues seem to work well for this "family style" tour. Seeing the Soul Stew Revival with, as Rolling Stone magazine put it, "a guitar god" along with his grammy winning wife in a smaller more intimate setting makes you feel like you found the perfect little hidden away restaurant...you tell people about it, but you like it to be "your little secret" at the same time. We look forward to seeing them again. We'll be seeing Derek do his thing with The Allman Brothers Band in a few weeks too!

Saw them Friday at the Casino in Hampton Beach, NH on Friday.

I agree they should have done their own material. Tedeschi has semi hits and they should have at least done Rock Me Right as an encore.

Their stage presence is terrible. Can Trucks talk or show any expression at all? Susan...you're in show business...lose 15 pounds and get some contact lenses.

As for Scapomatic..stand-up! You're only on stage for 30 minutes. Your sit down style set the tone for the evening.
