ROMNEY AS VP | 1:28 p.m. July 25, 2008
We NEED Romney as VP for this country since we can't have him as Pres! We will make everything great for our America and bring credibility back. He is the ONLY one of the VP's on the list who brings the most to the table. Put him up against Obama and it would make him look like he was in grade school (not to be rude). You can read so many agenda's here. My agenda is to just put the best man in who could do the most good for America. We know he would be comMITTed America and help fix our problems. We NEED him for the Economy Issue, Marriage between a man and a woman, morals, decency, abortion (which he NEVER voted against anything to support it) for FIXING things for us (no need of a job involved). He would be incredible! And YES I think in the end all Christians would join on as he would do the most for upholding strong values and decency for this country! They'd crazy not to. He would stand strong for this consitution and let America be (and Stay) the hope and strength of the earth. McCain please pick Mitt!

To Romney as VP: If you feel that strongly about Mitt, have you considered calling or emailing McCain, the rnc and the cpac people to ask them to work towards that end??? I have and I continue to do so. It is a good idea.

PS. of course, I agree with everything you said. Mitt is a great guy and should be the vp. In truth, if America wasn't sort of backwards in so many area, he would be the nominee even now. I will take what I can get. I pray hard for Mitt to be the vp so he can be some kind of blessing to America. Thanks for your letter....

Well, I have a few problems with Obama, but I will say one of them, I am immensely bothered that he thinks it would be inappropriate to go see wounded AMERICAN soldiers when traveling abroad. Unbelievable. How on earth could it be inappropriate to go see men and women who were wounded fighting a war, no matter how you feel about it.

Yet, he could find time to go to a free concert full of war protesters and give that apologetic speech...

That is NOT an American hero.

If Obama would have gone to visit the wounded soldiers you would have critized it, it is too bad some people can not deal with the issues and can only find fault rather than solutions; it is a very poor mind set in dirty politics.

So, now you know my mind and heart???? Neat trick!!!

As it happens, you are completely wrong. I would have been thrilled if he had gone to see the soldiers. I cannot think of anything inappropriate about going to see wounded men and women who got wounded protecting you and me and Senator Obama.

Grow up, that was a very childish attempt at sometning I don't even understand. It seems like a lashing out at me for insulting 'your guy'. Be proactive, not reactive

Neither my neighbor nor I are LDS. We live in Atlanta. We both voted for Romney as did many that I know.

Thanks Bible Belt friend! I have family all over TEnnessee and Arkansas and they and many many of their friends voted for Mitt Romney.

I was listening to the local KSL offering "weekend throwdown" and they were explaining how much the Evangelicals as a block hate Mitt. I don't think they have ever heard of the Evangelicals for Mitt web site. I finally turned them off. They got pretty boring. I for one know many people in the south, family and friends and they are on the whole very friendly, nice and balanced people. They do not hate me because I am LDS. They may not agree, but they are usually not unkind. Once in a while, yes, but I do wish the media would stop trying to make it the "rule!"

Obama is just not qualified period! He doesn't get that the key to our ailing economy is not tax hikes but ENERGY INDEPENDENCE!

His plan is to raise taxes on the rich, individuals and corporations, the very people who create and produce jobs. We have the highest corporate tax in the developed world. PERHAPS that has something to do with the economy and jobs.

He doesn't want to increase supply even though doing so would forcing the other oil producing countries ,who are using our own inefficiencies against us, to lower prices. Saudi Arabia's and Russia's biggest fear is a self sufficient US.

Alternative fuel development alone isn't the answer, and while drilling now won't increase supply right away, it will force the Saudis, the Russians and others to lower prices. Increasing supply and developing alternatives at the same time is the way to save this economy and force the oil back to $50.00 per barrel

And by the way in case you didn't know the US is the 3rd largest producer of oil in the world , over 8 million barrels per day, the problem is we consume 20 million per day

Prominent evangelical leaders are warning Sen. John McCain against picking former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as his running mate, saying their troops will abandon the Republican ticket on Election Day if that happens.

They say Mr. Romney lacks trust on issues such as outlawing abortion and opposing same-sex marriage and because he is a Mormon. Opposition is particularly powerful among those who supported former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee in the Republican presidential primaries earlier this year.

I hope Mitt goes all the way with McCain. Im appalled to see all over the internet today the announcement that a lot of evangelicals big wigs (not all)wont vote for McCain if he picks Mitt, and encouraging their followers to follow suit. All this because he is not the same religion as them. Funny how they feel they are such great Christian examples themselves but are really standing in Judgment of their fellow man as the Bible says not to. Infact they are calling Mitt a non-Christian. I hope Mitt gets in so he can lay his hand on the Bible (WHICH HE BELIEVES IN AND TRYS TO LIVE BY) to take the oath of office. Ive never understood somebody having the gull to call another person a non-Christian. In Mitts religion they are not even allowed to put down any other religion from their pulpits or talk negatively about others belief in their meetings. They dont tare down others religions. Its too bad many fellow Christians (not all) spend so much time tearing down the beliefs of others. Wasn't our country founded on religious freedom? He's not running for Pope!

All the.is talk about evangelicals refusing to vote for Romney is a bunch of malarkey. I'm a conservative, evangelical Christian and I have no problem with Romney. It's just Huckabee stirring things up in the desperate hope that he's still a player in the campaign, which he is not. I don't like him, and most of my friends don't as well--he's very bigoted toward Romney, but he went all squishy and tried to make nice about Obama because 'he's been called names all his life'. I would gladly vote for a black man (or woman) if they upheld conservative values and weren't trying to turn our country into a Marxist nation. As for Mormons, they are good people (except Harry Reid!). Let's choose the person most qualified for the job and trust God to know who is His and who's not. The day some of my fellow Christians stop trying to mold the government from top to bottom and just choose moral, qualified and competent leaders to lead...that will be the day we can get some much needed things done for the American people and keep our nation from going down the pandering-politically-correct toilet. MCCAIN/ROMNEY--that's my preferred ticket!

MITT ROMNEY FOR VP...MITT ROMNEY FOR VP!!! I HOPE someone from the McCain camp is listening to those of us who are the quiet, family values, Christian Conservatives who could care less what his religion is. Have you seen the alternative? I voted for McCain for President, because I thought Mitt Romney was arrogant, but he has PROVEN himself to be a good team player, and a humble but confident leader. Tim Pawlenty and Eric Cantor are SO BORING! Mitt Romney is an AMAZING SPEAKER, has GOOD FAMILY VALUES, and of course, there's the issue of the ECONOMY. My husband is a Firefighter, and he knows several other Firefighters at work who feel the same way. Our Best Wishes to Mitt Romney for VP!!!
