Preseason picks of players are stupid. Too many things can happen to change outcomes. It's okay to predict standings--kind of fun. But what purpose is there in saying that so-and-so will be the best in the conference at his position? It's ridiculous, and it is all a matter of who is able to self-promote.

Whatever. Hall might be injured on the first play of the season. Sakoda might step on a nail. I agree. Why didn't we get a preseason Heisman winner?
