Before this turns into an ugly forum with the anonymity of the web bringing out all the insensitivity in people, let me give some facts regarding this story:
The driver of the truck was a member of the family that was injured. The mother of the family was killed. All of the other people who were injured were also family members, including the driver's father, sisters, and the driver's baby. This was simply a horrible accident that resulted from stepping on the accelerator instead of the brake. The driver was not in any way impaired--she simply made a mistake.
My heart goes out the family and to the driver. Imagine how you would feel if you had injured your own family in this way. The entire family needs support, love, and understanding during this difficult time.
What a tragedy. My heart goes out to the family.
I hope the family is able to stick together through this tragedy. This will be hard, but they can do it through love and forgiveness. I really wish them all the best.
Ohmygoodness, this is horrific. My thoughts go out to this family as they deal with their grief and loss. May the driver be able to forgive herself and the whole family be comforted. How tragic.
To Melissa Peterson-Pereira and her family,
Our hearts ache for your lost and for this tragedy that has fallen on your family. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. With the lost of our daughter to SIDS this last year, I know that it is only through our Heavenly Father can one can endure such a trial. What a blessing it is to know that families can be sealed together forever.
Much love
Emil & Caroline

this is such a tragedy. I hope all involved can be overcome such a awful thing. I also hope that this forum does not turn ugly.
So sorry for the entire family...
Michele was Melissa's mother, the child is Melissa's daughter and Nicole is her sister. I can't even begin to imagine how horrible this all is =(
How old is the driver?
I don't know what I would do if this happened to my family.
They will carry this accident with them for the rest of their lives.
Life can be such a bad thing sometimes...

Its been almost 2 years since having to help out this family during the accident and call life flight. Im still so thankful to this day that my family and I were there during this accident to comfort and say a prayer to our Heavenly Father for miracles and blessings to be touched on this family. I still think of you guys to this day and always will. You will always be in my heart and I will never forget you. I'll also never forget the power of prayer as my family, all 85 of us, stood in a circle to prayer for you guys. I will never forget. Hope everyone is doing well and recovering slowly but surely from this tragic accident. Your Heavenly Father is watching over you & loves you, so is your Mom. God Bless
