Will he be eligible to play in the fall?
Rex Lard | 8:30 a.m. July 18, 2008
I hear he is really mentally tough! Harline is still open.

I am sure he will be eligable if he is coming from a JC school.
Hey Rex | 9:17 a.m. July 18, 2008
get a job
Harline | 9:39 a.m. July 18, 2008
Yet the cougs still haven't won a regular season non conference road game.
andrewute1 | 10:22 a.m. July 18, 2008
harline is still open? Wow thats all you kewg fans can still come up with? How original
Tongancoug | 11:10 a.m. July 18, 2008
He's a very good player, so congrats to the mUTEs. Maybe you'll make some noise this year. And about the nonconference games, how about you win some conference games.
Re: Tongancoug | 12:07 p.m. July 18, 2008
Did you just write mUTEs? Zing! Snap! That's almost as good as yewts or whatever other misspellings the intellectually gifted cougar fans can come up with.

And, if they are indeed mute, how will they "make some noise this year?" Or is that also part of the joke? I do like your effort but was left wanting more.

Joking aside, this is a good pick up for the Utes. A huge JC offensive lineman who should be ready to go. You can never have too many talented O-Linemen.
Bo Diddley Tech | 12:45 p.m. July 18, 2008
Harline's STILL NOT IN THE N.F.L.

re: tongancoug -
The Polynesian pipeline up on the hill continues! Can't wait for the Hawaiian hurricanes Fotu and Gaison to destroy your running backs!
Great pickup by Coach Whittingham and Anderson!
Go Utes!
Lay off | 12:59 p.m. July 18, 2008
Come on guys - lay off the "Harline is still open" or "4th and 18" jabs. Enough salt has been poured into the wounds of those poor Utes.

But since you are asking, my personal favorite is Coach Edward's last year - 4th and 13 on BYU's 17 yard line - Doman to Pittman for a 34 yard completion to midfield! Next play, 34 yard completion to guess who? Your're right! Pittman! With only 13 seconds remaining Doman then scampers into the end zone for the winning scooooooore!

A fitting ending for the greatest coach to ever coach in the state of Utah! And against your "hated" rival - nothing could be sweeter!

So Cougar fans, you know how angry Ute fans get when we "live in the past", so lay off the smack. Let's show a little symapthy to our younger siblings up north and keep our posts "sensitive" and "relevant", ok???
andrewute1 | 1:25 p.m. July 18, 2008
How about-

4 years in a row?
52-21?
Snow bowl?
Yergensen's kick is good?
Kautai?
John Beck throws it up in the endzone in overtime, boink incomplete?
34-31?
34-31?
34-17?

Dont bring up stupid past crap when we got just as much ammo kewg fans.
re: Lay off | 1:58 p.m. July 18, 2008
Speaking of the last game of Lavell. The play before 4th and 13 Luke "cell phone salesman" Staley fumbled the ball and the Utes recovered. Game over right, but oh no the refs have to gift St. Lavell another chance. What a bunch of BS. Go back and watch the tape if you don't believe me.
If you got so much talk then why don't you bring your mouth which you must have borrowed from Curtis Brown and come out to Rice-Eccles where you can see the "heathen" Ute fans bringing the noise for the men in red. Go get a job and quit messing around on your parents computer.
michael | 1:58 p.m. July 18, 2008
last second victories, however "devine", do not make up for the fact that Utah has the ultimate trump card in overall wins, by a wide margin.
weak | 7:17 p.m. July 18, 2008
Smack talk certainly is cheap these days (cheap? hey, just like the sound birds make! Cheap! Cheap! You know, like that swoop thing at the ewe). Cheap that is when coming from yewt fans who've been swept by their Big Brothers 2 years in a row in BOTH BASKETBALL AND FOOTBALL!!!

HAR!! GO COUGARS!!!!
re: weak | 8:53 p.m. July 18, 2008
Cheap? That describes kewgar fans. It's funny, byU gets 25,000 more people in their stadium but makes the same amount of $$$$$ from concessions. That's because the Ute fan buys a drink and a snack for EVERY member of his family that wants one, while the byU fan buys one large soda and one snack for his family to share. I can hear their kids now, "Gee, thanks dad! I got three whole nachos!" Don't break that 20 dollar bill.
Conejo | 11:19 p.m. July 18, 2008
Nothing matters other than the last game played. History is history. No matter how painful or exhilarating for either team. Good luck to both teams until November. Goooo Cougars!
Wow | 11:05 a.m. July 19, 2008
This is a comment board for an article mentioning the fact that the University of Utah recruited a lineman. How quick the digression. BYU fan enters the forum and drops a few idiotic troll comments and the Ute fan takes the bait. I can't believe I'm wasting my time reading this, and then I have to go and post something. I'm going to mow my lawn.
hoterene | 9:57 a.m. July 20, 2008
The "Big Brother" talk sounds stupid comming from the Brigham Young Academy. Ooooh! Utah has a big block letter on the hill and they call themselves the "U". What shall we do? We could put a big block letter on the hill and call ourselves the "Why?". The emmulation would be cute "if" you were a little brother, but you are just some copycat kid to the south.
