Does the color of the helmet match the uniform this time?
I'm worried | 8:43 a.m. July 18, 2008
As a BYU fan I am a little nervous. If these uniforms make Robert Johnson run faster then maybe Collie won't be open on 4th and 18 this season.
Don't worry | 9:22 a.m. July 18, 2008
Won't matter if Collie is open or not, since Max "my helmet is too big for my little body" Hall will be on the ground looking out his ear hole, courtesy of the personal injury firm of Kruger, Misi and Fotu.

Now run away little kewgy. Mommy and daddy don't like you to be unsupervised on the internet.

BYU-Provo fans need to find their own stories to comment on -- like the bib is coming back.
Re: worried | 9:33 a.m. July 18, 2008
Utah's defense held your great "offense" to 17 points, it was byu's defense that won them the game last year!

How many starters our back for that defense of yours?
3. Collie will probably be open again on 4th and 18 this year as byu is trying to score with a minute left in the game! The only diffence is Utah's offense(9 returning starters) will have already put up 40+ points on byU's inexperinced defense with no LB's or no secondary. On the other hand Utah will once again have held byu to only 9 points with a minute left.

When byu plays althetic defenses and they struggle! I.E. UCLA held byu to 17 points, TWICE! Utah held byu to 17 points, and Arizona held byu to 20 points(should have been 14 without that garabage TD in the 4th Q.)Face it, byu's offense will not do that good against Washington, UCLA, TCU and Utah. Meanwhile WAshington, UCLA, TCU and Utah will be putting some big time points up against a defense with 3 returning starters!!!!!
New Trend | 10:07 a.m. July 18, 2008
Under Armour has been gaining some great presence in the college football market. They have been signing up some great teams (ie: Auburn was the first and those unis are saweet!). Many of the top tier programs are jumping from Nike to other apparel providers (Michigan had the humongous deal with Nike for years and just bailed on them at the end of last season). I like the change to Under Armour. Many more will colleges will be switching soon.
Uniform Doesn't Matter | 10:54 a.m. July 18, 2008
A Ute is still a yewt
Last year | 11:25 a.m. July 18, 2008
Returning starters is a completely insignificant number. BYU's offense had four returning starters last year. It doesn't matter. The defense will be just fine. The Utes need to worry about their own defense. You have to remember that last years offense was rebuilding and they still rolled. Ute fans bringing up all these meaningless numbers shows your desperation. The only number that matters is 11-2 during a rebuilding year. Utah might have more returning starters but when those starters aren't very good it doesn't matter.
won't matter | 1:19 p.m. July 18, 2008
The yoots new glowing red Undie Warmor outfits won't make one bit of difference in the outcome on Nov 22:

BYu 35, yoots 17

and you can take that one to the bank (just not the Indymac bank)

I guess we should cancel the season?
Keep the predictions coming, it will be all the more disappointing

All you little kewgeys are so jealous that your jerseys suck and ours ROCK! You all know what I'm talking about. I worked at Fanzz when your ugly unis came to our store and every one, even kewg fans commented on how ugly they are. They kind of look like the Penn St.(also ugly). Oh and by they way, is it just me or is that the ugliest Y I have ever seen painted in the middle of your nasty field? Should have stuck with your old unis, old colors, old logo ect. You all know what I'm talking about! Get a life!
re: Re: worried | 5:43 p.m. July 18, 2008
Sorry but smack talk from a yewt just doesn't play very well when your Big Brother in-state rival has swept your little teams in both football and basketball TWO YEARS IN A ROW! Thanks for playing and come back to visit us if your little yewt football team ever accomplishes anything significant again. But don't get your hopes up too high, after all look who your coach is.
moral victories | 5:53 p.m. July 18, 2008
To the "Re: worried" poster at 9:33am, way to go after the moral victories dude. I guess that's about all you've got left after the past couple of years. Yeah, the ewe held rebuilding-year-BYU to only 17 points and they still beat your precious ewe of ewe. Wooo hooo, you really showed us who's boss. Not.

So my prediction for this year's big game is the shiny new glowing red Undie Warmor's will make the ewe players look like a bunch of Santa's helpers.
future headline | 6:36 p.m. July 18, 2008
Oh I can practically see the Nov 23 headline and related article now:

"SUPER TIGHT FITTING NEW UNI'S PROPEL UTES TO ANOTHER "CLOSE ONE"
AP - Yes, another close one indeed. Well, at least it looked like it was going to be a close one with BYU leading only 17-10 at half time. Then everything went South for the Utes in the second half as BYU won this one going away, 42-17.

When asked what happened, Kyle Whittingham said, "I'm not really sure what went wrong back there. I thought for sure we'd win this year with the new uni's and all. The good thing I guess is we at least scored as many points as they did against us last year, so I'd have to say we're making progress. But maybe we shouldn't have tried that on-side kick to start the second half. I think maybe that might have riled them up."
Good thinking, coach. The Utes also saw the repercussions in their loss at Wyoming this season for the attempted on-side kick against the Cowboys last season. Make a note for next season, coach."
What? | 6:35 p.m. July 18, 2008
Don't BYU fans have anything better to do than make stupid predictions on an unrelated story that doesn't involve their team. Are you that worried that you have to check every little story even mentions the Utes? Now that's pathetic.

Tighter and lighter, eh? Kinda reminds me of that Seinfield episode where George gets the Yankees new cotton jerseys... only to have them shrink in the wash, leaving the Yankees to waddle like pengiuns in the field.
For the whole conference's sake, lets hope the Utes play well throughout the whole season, if only to increase the MWCs reputation.
Conejo | 11:13 p.m. July 18, 2008
"Tighter and lighter". IF that is true I doubt a player would be able to feel that 1 ounce difference in weight savings over last year. Overall the uniforms look like every other average looking uniform out there. There are very few uniforms that make me take notice of them.
Vegas Baby! | 2:15 p.m. July 20, 2008
Whoa! perhaps Under Armour would have prevented one of our touchdowns and encouraged one for Utah! That still would have made the final score.
UNLV 20
UTAH 7 F.
Good Morning, Good evening and good night 2007 season! We are going to get you again Utah.
