If they want Miles Playing in the summer league then sign him to a contract. It's not CJ who didn't learn from last year it's Sloan and the Jazz.

Miles would be an idiot to go to summer league with out financial protection. I don't drive my car without insurance, and I don't practice medicine without malpractice insurance.

So why would Miles risk injury when there are teams interested in his skill level.

Miles will be the best free agent to leave Utah in years. He will be a star. It's too bad Sloan never gave him a shot. I guarantee you Joe Dumars will.

The Idiot is Miles. He has a chance of a lifetime. But, you have to work hard to get better and achive success. He wants to make lots of money without producing. Try that in the real world and see what you get. Noticed all the teams trying to sign CJ. Not many!!! He has to improve as a player to demand the money. The kid has great potential and skills. However, until he can prove that he can play with the big boys, the money will not come.

The Jazz in fact have offered CJ a 1 year extension of just over a million dollars. He can sign it at anytime, but he is hoping (pipe-dreaming) that detroit will pony up a little more. It is greed, not common sense.
As for giving CJ a shot, they would, if he'd ever show up for summer ball. That is when guys get shots. Not CJ. He's too busy recording crappy rap music with Dee Brown to post on UTUBE.

Ask how much better things got after leaving Jerry's system. I bet they could shed a little light on what happens when guys think they are better than Jerry says they are.

Miles is an idiot. He will end up on the end of Jerry's bench where he belongs. This kid, like so many others, wants money and fame without paying their dues. I would dump him on attitude alone.

Before you start talking you should learn a little about the collective bargaining agreement so you know what your talking about. Miles has had a contract for 3 years now. The jazz Picked up his option for 1.2 million to keep him a restricted free agent. Thats what teams do. All teams. Not just the Jazz. Regardless of what happens, injury, what ever CJ will get paid that if or when he signs the contract. Maybe he should come play and show other teams his value and do something to help himself get a better offer that forces the Jazz to make a decision. His agent and everyone else that is advising him are idiots period. I agree with the former post. Name a few players who's careers have been so much better after getting out from under Sloans syatem. Theres only a couple that come to my mind. Maybe its all you Sloan haters that need to move on and find a new team!!!!

If Detroit or other teams are interested in CJ, wouldn't he want to be in the Rocky Mt Review so they could watch him play? Wouldn't dominating in the Rocky Mt View be the best thing he could possibly do regardless of where he wants to play?

But he will be the starter next year regardless of what Miles or Brewer or Price do and so the Jazz will lose at least 7 games they won't need to next year. Sloan says he likes hustle on offense and defense then he puts in Kyle who doesn't move on either end. Every coach has a blind spot and two guard is Sloan's. That is why the Jazz will make the playoffs more years than any small market team should but will NEVER win a title. Take the bad with the good and deal with it, I say, but don't blame talented players for being unhappy they are overlooked.

I remember watching Milsap play his heart out during the summer league and making a name for himself. It's no surprise that he got more minutes then Miles, even as a rookie. So far Miles has not shown he's worth much more then about a million per year.

First you show them your talent, then they give you the money. CJ has it upside down. He's used to being a high school star and hasn't entered the world of reality.

If you can`t prove what you can do who`s going to sign you. This guy has some talent but it seems he gets some bad advice. I expect the Jazz will end up signing him as they did last year.

Mabye the Jazz should pony up and offer him a 3 year deal now - It worked for AK

Miles doesn't want to be here that is clear. He has a chance to be good and may in another organization but he doesn't have the heart to deal with Sloan or the competition for playing time. I hope someone gives him the money that the Jazz won't match and we can see Almond play... he has talent and the right attitude.

if the jazz want cj happy they would stop signing or trading for other players. we need a backup point guard and a true center not a two guard or small forward.get rid of collins, and hart and work a trade to get rid of somebody, we just have too many sitters and not enough players. when your not playing you become a whiner and not a winner.

Let CJ go. What has he done for the Jazz in three years? Nothing. He's had more chances than anyone deserves, and he still can't even make the full-time roster. He'll be out of the league in two years anyway, after bouncing around to four or five teams in that span. CJ is a drain for money and reseources. Cut him loose and cut your losses, Jazz. I honestly think that if he'd gone to college, he would have fizzled out and never made it to the NBA anyway.

Miles is a fool. Even if he doesn't want to play for the Jazz, the smart thing to do would be to showcase his talent at the Revue for other teams to see. On top of that, it shows the Jazz and any other team that he really is interested in being a serious NBA baller. Once again he is sending a message that he is not serious about his game. Stupid. Here's hoping another team makes him an offer and the Jazz don't match. We don't need another chronic pine-rider.

Get off CJ's back! He has great advisors and knows what he is doing. He was told that he will be the next Michael Jordan or at least the next Pace Mannion. But CJ does not miss lay ups like Pace did and he does not look like a plastic faced freak on TV like Pace.

CJ is typical of many "semi"-pro athletes today. The only thing professional about them is that they get paid to be on the team. They have some natural talent, but far too many of them are too lazy to do any actual work to improve their talent.

CJ isn't anywhere close to good enough to rely solely on natural talent. A new crop of rookies enters the NBA every year and if CJ doesn't change his work ethic soon, he'll be out of the league and pumping gas for a living soon.

Thats all this means.

All you whiners complaining about Sloan and CJ. Sloan wants players to work hard and play so they can succeed. CJ has an offer on the table to sign and won't do it. He could play risk free. Nope. His stupid agent tells him to sit and wait all summer again..for what?? Probably the same thing as last year..no/little interest from anyone else.

I mean it is not like it would take alot of money for the Jazz not to match. Yet, where are the offers?? Some of you act like CJ is this superstar who has been benched. If he was, another team would give him a couple of mill and the Jazz could not afford to match and he'd be gone. Other teams do not think he is worth 1/30th of their salary cap. That ought to tell you something.

He has himself to blame for missing out on all the Jazz practices/workouts by not signing his contract offer and coming to play. He will be in the doghouse where he belongs if he shows up this fall out of shape again. He has some talent I think--what a waste. Hopefully Almond can play some D.
