BiG whoa!
Dang tired, that must have taken a lot of energy to read the article and to actually type five words, but thank you so very much for your profound comments, impressive.
Kelsey, it was fun to watch you on the show, you are a very engaging personality, you are kind of this pixie type of girl and I kept thinking, food network would be smart to have a show in where you are teaching children how to cook. I know that they have the one show, but she really lacks the personality like you have Kelsey, good luck to you in your cooking and your marriage.
She was much easier to watch than the other girl that is on there, at least she doesn't cry during each elimination or each explanation! I hope she finds what she's looking for. Once she get's a little more cooking experience under her belt - watch out. At least she's genuine.
She is much more fun to watch than Lisa. I wish the network would realize as a home cook I don't want to make these weird dishes with ingredients I have to always go out and get. Kelsey was entertaining and creative, while making cooking easy.
I'm glad that Kelsey is gone. I found her too irritating to stomach.
What in the world was the Network thinking???? It isnt everyday you see a person as wonderful as Kelsey Nixon Show up at your doorstep.... It is now going to make it hard for me to watch the remaining episodes of TNFNS. She made a great exit speech, and i do believe she will be back and we may see her in the future on her own show on the Food Network... Kelsey Is AWESOME!
I was cheering for Kelsey also and I am sad to see her go, I am unsure if I will keep watching it now.
I agree, Lisa, the other female finalist is tremendously annoying and if she gets chosen (despite the fact that I think she can cook) I will NEVER watch a show by her. Adam is funny, but not a great cook and Aaron is a great cook and someone I could watch.
However, despite my annoyance of Kelsey's dismissal. I appreciate the fact that the Food Network seems to be treating this as a real competition rather than what they could sell on television (not entirely true because Adam has personality but can't really cook). Kelsey did have the worst performance of the remaining four during the "throwdown", bad timing and I agree with the judges messages that it wasn't really her "food personality".
Best of luck Kelsey with everything. Congratulations on your recent marriage, you are an adorable personality who I will look for in the future.
over-caffeinated cheerleader? has anyone ever heard of rachel ray?
kelsey should have won hands down that one judge had it out for her from day one.
She was a bit too much to watch. Why are you guys making a big deal of this? Is it just becasue she is mormon and from Utah that you are all up in arms about this. She lost! HEEELLLOOO and the critics said it best when he said she needs to live a little bit.
Last night when I was watching this, I grew more and more annoyed with Lisa, she is so negative and up tight. I dept thinking, Kelsey will move on, she has the personality and she is a good cook. I don't think that they want Adam, because he is not really a good cook and has made some terrible mistakes. I think that Aaron is a great cook, but he is sometimes hard to understand and he is uptight, I do think of the three, he is the best choice. Don't forget that they talked about a big surprise, maybe no one will be the next food network star. I really think they made a mistake with Kelsey, she had great potential for a show and was likable.
Sorry, but Tuckman (or whatever his name is) is a a total moron. Actually, so is the woman on the panel. Let's see, take the clearly pathological oompah loompah (or is in a Vulcan?) or someone who can both cook and be a good TV personality? Duh.
The people left are simply not even worth watching. Aaron is OK, but bland and not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Pleasant enough, though, and that certainly can't be said for the other two. Lisa makes men go screaming into the night, and Adam just gives men the creeps.
Sorry, FoodTV, you totally buffed THAT challenge.
"People People" is just wrong, above.
I really don't care who wins, but I don't like cheating, and here we have some freak (Lisa) giving the clueless (Aaron) a clue. She stands on the sideline and tells him to make Kelsea's dish, when he would have been hammered otherwise. Sorry, I don't like freaks and cheaters.
I haven't had a chance to watch the episode. Thanks for spoiling it with the headline. Aargh! Haven't read the article yet.
Kelsey, congratulations for making it as far as you did. It looked like you did your level best, and I'm sure this will open doors for you in the future. I hope you are really proud of what you did on the show.
Paula Deen is the most overated female cook on the Food Channel (Emeril is the most overated male). Deen has the typical southern attitude about food: More portions = a better dish. Kelsey will do fine on her own and her quality over quantity approach will suit her well in the future.
I did not see Kelsey on the Food Network channel.
I don't watch TV that much.
However, I have seen her on the BYU-TV channel doing
some cooking. The BYU-TV channel is on many cable systems and both of small dish satellite services (Dish & Direct).
I like Kelsey's enthuisam!! Hopefully she'll be successful in her dreams, and Hopefully BYU-TV will
continue to show the work she's done.
Thank You.
PS: Conratulations to both her and husband on their recent wedding and honeymoon.
Kelsey may be young, but kudos to her for actually following her dream at such a young age. I can't stand to hear all this criticism about her... I'd like those people go out and do something equally as hard as being a contestant on that show. Knowing her personally, I can tell you that she is one of the most amazing people I know. She deserves her dream and I think she'll get it. You just watch.
Is it the weather, the year 2008, the stars or what?
We have to choose between two dullards for president and now, with Kelsey's ouster, which one of the three contestants is, not more deserving but, less objectionable?
Long term talent: Kelsey, hands down. Short term? Who would tune in to watch any of the remaining three. Maybe Lisa if things are going too swell in your life and you needed someone to be annoyed at.
That is too bad that you didn't get to see the show first, I won't tell you who wins the All Star Game, oh, wait that is tomorrow, I think :) But you do need to know, news is news, and a hometown girl was being reported on, they just didn't know you hadn't watched yet. I would not have read the article if it had not put her name there, I do hope you will still enjoy the show.
way to follow your dreams kelsey! i really enjoy her passion for actually pursuing a dream. all this criticism is ridiculous... maybe those people should try and put themselves in her position. not easy. she did great! and represented herself perfectly.
I hated to see Kelsey leave, big mistake. glad Paula Deen showed up in Vegas, the only time the stone-faced judges had a spark of life! their personalities would turn me off of cooking. I was curious if at any time if the contestants were asked if there would be any ingredients they weould not ever cook with...or if that played into the decision to whack Kelsey.
ps Shane had the most promising future of all those that are left.
thanks
