It looks like the Jazz have a couple good players in camp. Yaroslev, Paulding, and Johnsen I would imagine would get an invite to Training Camp.
Question | 6:20 p.m. July 11, 2008
This might be the best question, but how do they decide who will be on the roster during the summer leagues if they are not under a contract with the Jazz?

Bye, Bye, CJ. I like your play, but to be a great player, its got to come from the heart, not the pocketbook. By now you should know that once your're in Sloan's doghouse, you won't see the light of day, just a lot of slivers in your back side. let me ask, When was the last time a player got a career ending injury in preseason games like the RMR? Except for Mo Williams, how many ex-jazz players left for greener pastures and actually stuck with a team and got playing time? You can't prove your worth and playing time by staying home and playing video games. Your're talent opened some doors but your lack of effort will close them just as fast. See ya

We all thought he would be gone last year. I don't think this seals the deal I think if another team offers too much money we will not match.

Who has left the Jazz and received more playing time? I'd say DeShawn is doing alright in Washington (exept when he made a fool of himself against LeBron). Why would CJ play in the revue anyway. He's been on the team long enough that he shouldn't have to worry about it. I think he needs to move on to somewhere we he can get playing time. He played great every time he was called on this season and with Brewer, Korver and possibly Almond clogging the 2 spot up he won't get any more time in Utah. CJ will leave and be successful whereever he goes.

This is just the BIG reason young players should not sign and try to play out of high school(a few James, Kobe, McGrady, and Garnett). But most are not physically or mentally ready. C.J. lacks both especially mentality toughness. He might make it in this league but I guarantee any team taken him will have to wait for at least 2 years to see any dividend. Same old thing--what can you do for me attitude. He better show some desire or his days are numbered.

I agree with ABQ, CJ has proved himself when given the opprotunity. However, i think he might have burned his bridges last year when he didn't play. Oh well, I like CJ, just too many share the same position. Good luck CJ, hopefully you'll get more playing time somewhere else. Should be interesting to see Kofus and Fess play with eachother.
Interesting | 9:32 p.m. July 11, 2008
I have always been a fan of CJ, when given the chance he seems to play well. He is offensively gifted, but struggles defensively. Therefore, he needs to go.

I am excited to see how Kofus plays. If Kofus shows the potential that Jazz personel think he has, we could be in for a steal of this draft. He's bigger than Okur, more athletic, and still only 19. He also seems very eager to learn.

On a side note, i still think Utah needs to let go of Jason Hart and sign Shaun Livingston out of LA. He may be done for a career, but he may not. The kid is only 22 years old, his body could heal. Besides, he is extremely gifted and he's 6'7. If he were to heal enough to play backup minutes, that would fill a huge void. Think about it, there could be times where he could play point and D-Will could slide over to the 2 spot.

C. J., I love ya, but you are a dunce. Or else your agent is. Maybe you should find another one who will give you better advice.

"Interesting" hit it on the head...CJ doesn't play D, not because he can't but because he won't make the commitment. Summer camp could pay dividends, not just offensively, but especially defensively, but this kid just doesn't get it. He has burned his bridge with Sloan, so I hope he gets a good offer, because he will do nothing but ride the pine with Utah. Also, Koufos was a major steal and will be far better than the Georgetown stiff.
Come on CJ | 1:22 a.m. July 12, 2008
O my come on Cj get a new agent who gives you good advice not crappy advice that will land you in the dog house with Sloan. Your one of my favorite players, you should just play its just a few games and besides if you come back to Utah you will be fighting even more for playing time with the possability of Almond playing this year!!!!!!
They play anyway | 8:10 a.m. July 12, 2008
It's not like these guys don't play regular pick up games in the summer anyway. The revue is at least a controlled environment with coaches and referees - probably less likely to get injured than in some college gym where some young guys want to take it to the NBA player. Play or not he only has to say yes to the Jazz offer and he makes his 1.8 mill even if he rots on the bench. He will be gone next season and I suppose he will sign for more at that time. He just blew his chance to crack the rotation with Utah is all. I predict Almond will light up the review and become the 3rd 2-guard.

Agree with those above. CJ needs to take control of his own career. His agent gave him horrible advice not to play in RR last year and is too prideful to admit it this year hurting CJ even more.

THe on thing that CJ needs is playing time, one to get better and two to show off his talents in order to get a better offer from another team. His defense is so bad he didn't and shouldn't have gotten it in the regular season. Sitting at home he gets neither. The RR review could have been his payday but he's too afraid to play.

I've never heard of a player afraid to play basketball, you didn't hear about jordan passing up games in the off season.

I like CJ and think in a couple of years he may be a decent player but with this attitude and advice, see ya.

PS. Deshawn??? Give me a break, we're better off w/o him. He's only starting because his team has no one else. I wouldn't call his career special by any means.
