MormonTimes.com: Making gospel concepts 'easier'
4 comments | Read story
"The Gospel is a bit complicated, but still simple." Right. Way to cover all your bases.
"Don't mock the Spirit." Right. I'm not mocking the Spirit; I am mocking Mormons' self-delusional assertion that their emotions and feelings are "the Spirit." Big difference, but it would require a bit more sophisticated level of thinking than just a black-white, binary mentality.
Most members of the Church are so predictably one-dimensional it is scary.

LDS are thoroughly trained in the art of "black and white" thinking. Although this results in chronic false dichotomies, it has become a "baptized" debating trick employed by LDS in teaching as well as missionary efforts, to try to get others to accept almost anything they say.
How does it work? For starters, simple dichotomous assertions are made, such as "There are only two Churches: The Church of God and the Church of the Devil." Then a "trap" is sprung wherein the other person is forced to take a moral stance on one and only one horn of the false dilemma. Based on the stance the other person takes, the LDS "debater" confidently announces that the other person has JUDGED THEMSELVES!
Consider the Grand LDS Question: Either the Church is True or it is not. If you say "not," LDS people testify of all the good in the Church. No way Mormonism is 100% fraud! Therefore, it must be all truth! See! That good feeling you get when such simplemindedness works is The Spirit!
