It is wonderful what can be done in the name of reason when self serving bureaucracies are not involved. L.D.S. Schools provide excellent, well rounded, education, the purpose for which they exist, without excessively taxing the families involved. I fear that the education system in this country is becoming an end in itself, rather than a servant of the people. From grade school public education to our "public" Universities the goal appears to have become a secure place for the educator, not a haven for those seeking to be educated. There is much too much of liberal mind shaping and far too little mind stimulation in our public schools and secular higher education institutions. The L.D.S. Church sets a fine example of what can be done when the goal is to educate.

I graduated from Ricks College in 1998, (now BYU-I) and while there I felt so grateful for the opportunity of just being there, if that makes any since. The school is a wonderful place and I will never forget the memories that I made there. I think of it often and miss it dearly. I know college life doesn't last forever but I felt like I had the best of both worlds there, receiving my education and gaining spiritual knowledge. I am a much better person all around because of my time there, better self, better wife, and better mother. It is definitely a wonderful institition of higher learning and I am so glad that I went there.
