Typical

How typical--this guy is a great environmentalist, so his bosses think his treatment of PEOPLE is insignificant.
The whole world is going nuts!

Perhaps

His bosses are taking the stand that he is innocent until proven guilty.

Isn't his former girlfriend a living being/thing of our earth, just like the lakes he is intrusted with??? Personally I think it is quite significant!

Mr. Edwards has been further advised on the seriousness of these allegations. Waterkeeper Alliance is conducting an investigation into the issue, and the board of directors will be meeting next week to determine how to address it. There is no other comment at this time.

Looking at the Salt Lake Tribune article on this incident, the term "roughed up" seems a pretty tame description of what actually happened. I'm interested in what the Deseret News reporter's definition is of "roughed up"

Given Mr. Salt's status as a whistleblower, any accusations made against him have to be viewed with at least nominal suspicion, as there is no shortage of powerful individuals in this state who would love to see Mr. Salt permanently discredited. Shame on the anonymati in this comments thread who would bring to this discussion a presumption of guilt instead of a presumption of innocence.
