Great story about Brooke White. She is a great roll model and every seleb. should red her comments.

And as for "Anonymous" (@2:13), there is the Salt Lake Tribune in town or even the national USA Today. . . OH POOOO, they have both run articles about Brooke White and David Archuleta being Mormons!

Well I guess you just need to realize that a large majority of the Deseret News readers are LDS. Just like I have had to realize that most of the readers of papers in Jacksonville, Rochester, Tampa, Buffalo, Orlando, etc. (other places I've lived in) are NOT Mormons and very few articles have them mentioned. . . but they do run large articles on Baptists, Billy Graham, and Catholics (a ton of stuff on the Popes visit).

It is so nice to have good, clean, upstanding role models for our youth in this day and age. I admire Brooke and David and am proud that they stand up for what they believe in.

I enjoyed many of the singers on AI, I think that David Cook is a great guy and was very classy towards Archie, but I really did enjoy Archie and Brooke, they are both really sweet and real kids. I am sure this tour will be fun for them all, but it will be trying, I wish them the best this summer, part of me would love to go, but screaming hormonal girls just doesn't appeal to me.

Brooke was an alright singer. There were so many others who were so far above her in talent. She reminds me of the girl in church who had to sing at every sacrament meeting and talent show. We will see her at state fairs in the future.

Brooke is already married and, as the article says,
is looking forward to having a family as well as a carreer in music.

Lots of people do both. Examples are:
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill,
Martina McBride and her family,
Reba McEntire and her family.

Brooke White is terrible! You couldn't pay me to go see her in concert. Her career will be limited to EFY albums and Fireside tours. I would pay to see Carrot Top before I'd buy a ticket to see Brooke White.

There are many people who find Carrot Top's brand of humor unappealing. But if he floats your boat, then more power to you. Just because Brooke's talents didn't appeal to you, does not make her terrible. She had enough national appeal to finish in the final 6 performers. By the way, EFY vocalists, are generally very good performers. Perhaps you can let us know when you get your record deal signed.

Thank you for responding to my post. But just because she made it to the top 6 doesn't mean she's good. After all, Sanjaya Malakar made it to the top 7. Look at the wonderful career he/she had post-AI. I bet you bought all his records too.

Also, I don't need a record deal to determine what is, and is not, good music. Do you have a record deal? Because if you don't you're not entitled to an opinion according to your line of logic.

Coming 2009: Brooke White to a Stake Center Near You! Opening for Brooke will be Sanjaya. Actually, I WOULD pay to see that train wreck.

Brooke is a good singer, not great. She has a sexy Carly Simon type of voice.

Entertainment isn't about how the quality of your voice. It's about how well you connect with your audience. Brooke clearly resonated with those who enjoyed her warmth, clean image and soulful sound. Obviously, there were a lot of these folks or she would not have lasted as long as she did. Will she be a huge success? Likely not because there are so few who make it to the top. However, you never know. Her style may touch more people than we expect and she may be around for a long, long time. Don't be surprised if you are still listening to Brooke when David Cook is the answer to a trivia question.... which doens't mean he is not great... it's all about timing.

Don't tell me how to do my job. You don't see me coming to your's and slapping the squigee out of your hand. You better log off the library's computer before all the good corners are taken by the other panhandlers. So much for living your dreams.

Even if I made $7.50 an hou, I'd still be making more than Brooke. And I am factoring in her new single duet with William Hung.
