As far as im concerned Sam Brower didnt break any law. Wiilie is just mad cause a private investigator is getting close to finding evidence.

Climbing a fence to get onto private property isn't breaking the law? If Willie had truly felt threatened he could have legally shot Brower.

No doubt Washington Co. law enforcement (and the judges) have a vendetta against Brower; authorities in Washington co. sat on their hands for years while the polyg. nonsense went on right under their noses. I don't doubt that they resent him for making them look like fools. The restraining order probably doesn't matter anyway because the polygs have a habit of never showing up to court proceedings anyway. If Mr. Jessop claims it was his property that he was on, does that mean that he will now start paying his taxes on it?

CS,

If the allegations are correct, and he climbed a 6 foot wall and entered private property without permission that is the legal definition of trespass, a crime.

c.w. "polygs".. nice slur there. This is the hallmark of "The Other". We cannot demonize the other party and use that justification to remove their rights.

"A Man For All Seasons" has something to say about this:

William Roper: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!

Sir Thomas More: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

William Roper: Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!

Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!
Can Every Insult to Privacy | 5:30 p.m. July 9, 2008
be justified if that insult is inflicted upon a polygamous or member affiliated with a group that embraces polygamy?

Honestly, why can't people first ask themselves, "Would I want some strange man climbing into my private yard and skulking around the windows of my home, or taking news cameras to film my children while they are playing???"

I think anyone would be upset under the circumstances. Private investigators are not police officers and do not have the right to violate personal privacy.

According to Sam Brower, that never happened! Your taking the word of a man (willie jessop) who is Warren Jeffs enforcer! And the restraining order was filed in st george, also owned by flds.
If it were my place | 6:38 p.m. July 9, 2008
If it were my place that the reporters were trying to get into, well I think I would get me a couple of well TRAINED watch dogs to turn loose inside my fenced place. Dogs would tend to discourage trespassors more than any court signed paper.

CS,

You are taking the word of .. who exactly? that Willie Jessop is Warren Jeffs enforcer? (guilt by association again?) Filed in St. George.. owned by the FLDS.. whose word are you taking this on?

But, for the sake of argument, I'll grant you that. And even if its completely fabricated.. so what? IF its completely fabricated, then Sam Brower has nothing to fear.. I mean he wasn't by and harassing Willie Jessop, so this doesn't change anything. It would be like if I got a restraining order against you. So what? You're not anywhere near me to begin with!
John Lambert | 1:01 p.m. July 10, 2008
To common sense,
People are not guilty by association. We can not prejudge them out of standing in legal circles.
Also, St. George is not owned by the FLDS. You are very confused.
??? | 2:45 p.m. July 10, 2008
If Sam Brower thinks it's OK to tresspass to find evidence, he's tricked! where's the search warrant?? Of course I guess they didn't need one in Texas so maybe he figures he doesn't need one either.
Where's all the evidence of all the crimes he's found?? Still looking?? I guess that's what Texas is doing too.
"We clearly know there is evidence, we haven't found it yet, but we do KNOW there is some" -Mark Shertliff

-- You gotta give them time to find it, it's only been 3 months!
