I'd be willing to bet that current linemen would easily outweigh 1984 linemen by a good 75-100lbs while also running the 40 much faster. No disrespect to 1984 Cougs, but I just think that current football players in general would eat football players of 24 years ago up and spit them out.

I don't know about 75-100 lbs heavier but todays linemen (all football players in general) are A LOT bigger. BYU fans, look no further than your current roster. NO STARTING LINEMAN under 300 lbs!!! In fact most are around 330lbs!!! This was almost unheard of 25 years ago (the average NFL lineman in the 80's was ONLY 270). Do you really think Kyle Morrell would've been able to contain the run against this team Very, very unlikely.

Why is it that Dick Harmon thinks that BYU has the greatest teams in the country? I hope all BYU fans are getting their hopes up cause they will get beat this year.

Here is luck:
2007: Unga dropping two passes that could have sealed the victory with no drama.
2006: OK that one was lucky.
2005: BYU's injured secondary, and Curtis Brown dropping a wide open pass on the first play of the game.
2004: Alex Smith not getting hurt when running the ball over and over and over.

When all is said and done there is luck and skill interminlged in every game. BYU has been on top in everything that matters for 2 years now. So go ahead ute fans. July is your month to shine and hope. We are happy with August through March.

Hey good job in that basketball tournament that I do not even remember the name of last March. "Ute basketball is Back baby"...Next year.
